"Okay class, i will start now!"

She slammed her book on the table in order to catch the attention of her students.

"Yes." the class groaned in union.

The university was located in the middle of a big city and really popular because of the new professor. She spoke monotone and clear, but her face was expressionless as always. Her lessons were really informative and easy to understand, what leads to the success of almost 90% of her students.

Nobody knew her name and nobody dared to ask.

Her presentation was interrupted with loud slam of the door and a guy rushing in the room.

She sighed but was used to him always arriving late.

His best friend's mouth became a wide smile

"Will, there you go again."

Some girls giggled shyly, no wonder

he was stunningly handsome.

All the laughter disappeared into thin air.#

"Silence!"

Her expressionless face contorting to a mad one.

~her POV~

The door slammed open and William, a really annoying student joined the class. I hate these kind of humans. The loud ones who always think that they are funny. Foolish humans who drink a lot of alcohol and losing their awareness of their environment, not taking care of their body.

Unfortunatly, that kind of student was in my class.

~end of her POV~

"You have to write an essay about the influence of social media in our daily life. That is all for today. You can leave."

Murmuring and the sound of books getting shoved in bags filled the room as she made her way to the door to leave, after turning off the beamer.

William stopped her in her tracks standing in front of her with a guilty look on his face.

"I am sorry for arriving late today, professor." He smiled softly trying to hold a good reputation.

"Don't be sorry. You won't change anyways." She was annoyed but it was the same every time anyways.

"Can i ask you a question?" She stopped walking when she heard the brunet's voice.

She eventually turned around sighing.

"What is it?"

He stepped slightly closer to her.

"What is your name?" William smiled excited, expecting an answer only to see her raising her hand swatting him away.

"Nonsense. It's none of your business." She turned around again. She was pissed.

~her POV~

I put my hand on the doorknob but before i got to turn it he spoke again.

"Why?" Why you ask? because i don't really have one! But i can't tell him that.

"Just call me professor or whatever you want!"

Angrily i opened the door. Why did i give him the permission to call me how he wants?

My mouth opened in a soundless gasp when he suddenly walked past me with words that i didn't expect.

"Then goodbye, Alice.  More like professor Whitaker."

- 2 -

A surprise awaited me when i entered the room. They all smiled suspiciously.

"Good morning professor Whitaker. Why didn't you reveal us your name earlier?"

Oh he did not.

My death glare didn't stop William from giggling.

"I will start the lesson now. You can put your essays here on the table when i call out your names."

Some of the students nodded and i could tell that some of them forgot according to the looks that they are giving me.

~end of Alice's POV~

"Rosie Morgan."
Rosie stepped down the stairs and put her essay on the table. She hurried away but Alice wouldn't let her get away.

"Ms. Morgan. As far as i can see, your essay isn't complete." Rosie turned around slowly feeling the pressure of all the eyes on her.

She saw how the cold-eyed professor scoffingly leafed through the folder containing the only half finished essay.

"Hand it over once you finished. Don't you think that it is foolish to believe that i wouldn't see what you did? Please think about your actions before doing them."

The class laughed and she briefly grabbed her folder sitting back down.

"William Miller."

~William's POV~

I wanted to take out the folder but it was nowhere to be found.

"It's gone!" I yelled in surprise, half-jokingly. The class took it as a joke and laughed at it but professor Whitaker didn't seem really pleased.

After a while of rummaging in my back i found it, standing up and walking to the front. In contrary to what my attitude seems, i always prepare my essay's and exam's well, being one of the most successful students in this university. I was a senior and about to finish my last semester.

As soon as i stood in front of the table i whispered loud enough for only her to hear.

"You didn't have to humiliate Rosie like that. Loosen up a bit, will you?" I smiled kindly but her expression didn't change at all. She just rolled her eyes and sighed.

"Get back to your seat."

~end of William's POV~

He talked pretty casual, assuming that he is older or at least in the same age as her.

Little did he know that she is hundreds of years old.

Alice sighed as she entered the building she lived in. It was a huge multifamily residential in a noble style.

She waited for the elevator, stepping on the marble floor, which sparkled like always.
The elevator door opened and her eyes widened, as well as the ones of the person facing her in the elevator.

She couldn't believe that William lived in the same building like her. She never noticed. There was no way that she missed something like that.

He reached out for Alice's hand, greeting her softly.

"Hello Ms. Alice Whitaker. I moved here today." He smiled but the only thing Alice could think of is his annoying attitude that she will have to handle with from that day on.

"Well at least he isn't my direct neighbor.", is what she thought, feeling a bit of hope flowing through her.

She entered the elevator silently, trying to avoid a conversation.

Her room was called "202".

"On which floor do you have to go?"

Instead of answering, her eyes moved to the buttons in order to push it herself but the 2nd floor's button was already blinking. There was no way that-

The door opened and she left the elevator... with William. She watched him carefully just to see him opening the door to the room 201.

-

Sighing, she entered her own room, already hearing the loud and noisy music making her extra sensitive ears ringing. Her species is known for extra good and sensitive hearing.

She manipulated the airwaves in his room so that the music would turn another way.
She had special powers because she is from a superior species with better senses and abilities like changing airwaves.

Not many people know about her real identity.
...Well there is one person.

-

"And you won't believe it. He moved in. Next door!" Alice sat on a couch with her only friend, Jane. They met each other before Alice was a professor, it was a while ago, about 8 years.

Jane found out about Alice's powers by accident 6 years ago.

20.07.XX96 - River

"Why does it take so long? I am hungry!" They both stared at the grill, waiting for the meat to cook.

"Let's swim a bit." Jane hurried into the water, swimming even further.

"Wait. I have to turn the meat."

Jane repeatedly jumped on a mossy rock winking at her.

"Hurry up! See i'm already over he-"

She slipped from all the jumping and almost hit her head against the spiky stones on the edge of the river if it weren't for Alice, who used her power to stop the time for a moment to swim to the other side. She was carrying Jane, who was in mid-air facing her death. She placed her on the little grass patch next to the river.

The time continued and Jane gasped and screamed in fear until she realized that she is safe.

"What happened? How did you? How did i? But..."

She was questioning everything and didn't understand so Alice told her everything.

-

"I am not what you think i am."

She pointed to the sky.

"I am from a star from above. I am something that you humans call an alien."

They didn't care about the food that is about to get burned.

Jane was shocked but didn't stop trusting her.

"Why didn't you tell me earlier?"

Alice was startled because she expected her to scream and run away.

"I was scared that you would leave me alone..."

Jane hugged her tightly.

"Silly, you will always be my best friend!"

Jane frowned.

"Why exactly do you hate him that much?"

Alice gasped as in "how could i not?!"

"Because he....he...uh... why do i hate him?"

She questioned herself. Why does she hate him? Is it his attitude? or because he is cheeky?

"Well he is...always late for my classes!" The idea shot in her head as she scoffed victorious.

Jane just looked at her in disbelief.

"You don't actually hate him, right?"

Alice continued eating, looking
