‘‘Mom! Dad! I’m leaving for school!” I shouted cheerfully. I am Ana Tanaka, I am fifteen years old young and lively. I have a wavy blonde hair with bright blue eyes and I think I am fit enough to have an hourglass figure. Today is my first day of high school and I am very excited.
“Do you want me to bring you to school, Ana?” asked Ikuto Tanaka, my father.
“Good luck for your first day Ana-chan! I hope it all goes well.” said Riko-san while smiling kindly at me.
In this family of ours, Riko-san is my beautiful loving and caring mother and Ikuto-san is my childish but adorable and handsome father and of course not to forget my cutest and the most adorable out of all the Tanaka is my brother! Jun Tanaka, who I think inherited father’s genes, is still a fifth year in middle school. I studied in his school before but now that I have graduated, I no longer study there. He is also a part of the Student Council in his school. His school is affiliated with my school, so once he graduates he will go to my school.
“No thank you father. I am walking with Megumi-chan today and thank you Riko-san! I’ll make this year memorable! I am going now, bye everyone!” I said while waving at them.
I have to run if not I am gonna be late and Megumi-chan might scold me again for my tardiness, I thought. Megumi Tanari is my bestest friend ever, she has been with me ever since we were young. She has been with me through my tough times, lending her ears and shoulder. Not once did she complain but cheered and encouraged me. I definitely love her as my sister. I slowed down when I saw her.
“Ah, Ana-chan! I missed you! You’re not late today, that’s good!” she said, running towards me to give me a hug.
“It’s been only a day since we last met and now you missed me? How would you survive if I were to be gone for a long time? But I missed you too!” I said while panting trying to catch my breath and hugging her back.
“Come on, let’s start walking if not we will be late for school” she said. “Oh please, it’s so early I doubt anyone is there yet. You’re really excited, huh” I said.
“Of course I am excited Ana-chan! We are finally high school students and our school is one of the best schools in the country, who wouldn’t be excited for that? But for us it is definitely a must to go there” she said.
“Yeah, I know. If it wouldn’t be for my name and my situation I could just go to any public or private school around here.” I said. Our school is where all rich heiress and heirs around my age go to; it is basically a haven of rich people. Megumi-chan’s family business is pretty well known and stable whereby mine is on the verge of bankruptcy. This does not bother me though because I am contented with what I have right now. To help my family even though by a little bit, I do part-time jobs.
“Our school is pretty special though, all the three Noble Houses heirs are going to the same school as us! Isn’t this great? I heard they are handsome, you won’t abandon me for them once you see them right, Ana?” said Megumi, trying to act like she is pouting.
I chuckled and said, “Silly, I will never abandon you Megumi no matter what happens. Anyway I am not interested in them.” The Four Noble houses are all world-wide renowned companies. They are the richest in this country and hence they are powerful. I heard that all the heads of the households, long before were best friends since school, and they were all chosen to be in the Noble Houses. I don’t know whether it’s a legend or tradition that is past down but all the heirs of the houses are close friends with one another as well.
“Of course you won’t. But why aren’t you interested in them? Almost 90% of the girls who came in this school is because of them, sadly they can’t look at them without them noticing if not their points might be deducted.” said Megumi.
Points, I thought. In our school we have this Ranking System also called as R-system. In this R-system people are divided base on their points and definitely on how rich they are and so I guarantee I will probably be one of the last few. Education and grades takes up an important role as well. Like kindergarten when you do something good you will be rewarded but if you do something against the rules, points will be deducted. It is the same as my school, there are three ranks that divides us; Bronze, Silver and Gold. Only one person is able to be Gold in the entire student body, and that is only for Student Council President or the richest or most powerful in the school.
Megumi and I kept on talking and soon we reached the school. It was not hard to notice; even from afar you could see the gates were shining. As we went nearer, I saw the gates were made of silver. And the school was so big that it looked more like a castle more than a school though the difference is the school was painted with premium colours. Beside me, Megumi-chan was jumping up and down, out of excitement I bet.
Before Megumi and I go inside the school, we checked our appointed classes and I am so happy that we are in the same class. We were posted in Class A which I think is the best class but I noticed there was a class that only consists of 4 people and the class’ name is Class AA.
I turned to Megumi to ask her but she answered me as if she had read my mind. “The double-A class huh, I think it is the best of the best of classes and it is only for Student council members but I didn’t know there were only four of them. I bet the other three are the heirs of the Noble Houses. Don’t worry though Ana you’re smart, it’s just that they are some sort of a special case?” she said.
After she finished talking, a shining black limousine stopped in front of the school’s gate. Then a guy with a suit opened the door probably a butler, and then I saw three handsome guys stepped out of the car. They were really handsome but somehow they looked really familiar. I saw the other students bow down as the handsome guys walked towards the school and I followed in pursuit.
I couldn’t help but hear their conversation.
“New students? They sure learn fast, knowing about this rule as well.” said the guy mockingly with the green hair.
“Don’t forget Daichi, we are first-years as well” said another guy, I couldn’t see who it was and I really want to look who it was so I looked up. It was a guy with blonde hair with bright blue eyes.
“Come on, if you guys don’t move any faster, I’ll leave you behind.” said another guy sounding annoyed with jet-black hair that matched his black eyes.
They are probably the popular three heirs of the Four Noble Houses, I have to admit they all look handsome and with their almost perfect features, they couldn’t get any better. Suddenly they stopped in where I was standing and turned to look at me. The blonde guy whispered something to the other that made them look at me for a long time. At the same time, I realised I was not bowing anymore. Maybe that is why they are looking at me but the look in their eyes made me doubt, their eyes showed mixed emotions; happiness, sadness, relief, worried and pain. I don’t know why but I feel like I have met them before but as much as I tried to recall, I couldn’t remember anything. Soon they stopped looking at me and started walking again.
Once they entered the school, everyone stopped bowing at once and people were whispering and murmuring while looking at me. I bet rumours will spread for sure. For a moment, I couldn’t move then after a while I looked at Megumi, she will probably bombard me with many questions later so I should start bracing myself.
As we were walking towards our class, Megumi so-called interrogation started, “How? When? Why?” she said while looking at me with the look of how-did-you-do-it look.
“What How? When? And Why?” I replied.
“Why were they looking at you? Do you know who they are? They are the student council, the three heirs of the Noble Houses. Why would they stop and look at you? Have you guys met before?” she said. Luckily I listened very carefully if not I wouldn’t know what she is talking about and because she was talking so fast as if there was no time to waste.
“I don’t know why they stopped and looked at me but I have never, hear me never met them before.” I said seriously and it looked like it convinced her.
“But you do know right, what happened a while ago will cause rumours. Some might think you are special or something.” She said.
“Yah, I know. School have not even started and my hope for a peaceful high school life is gone.” I said, sighing.
As we enter our classroom, we sat down at our sits. Our Sensei, who is Kuchida Kurosaki, told us that we will not be studying today and told us that we will be doing class bonding games. The bonding games were fun but pretty tiring, and the class somehow got closer. The games ended when it was lunch. Soon everyone was heading towards the cafeteria; I heard it was very grand. In this school, I suggest you have a map with you if not you will definitely get lost. In this big place, who wouldn’t get lost?
While Megumi and I were walking towards the school cafeteria, Megumi was talking very fast talking about every single thing she found entertaining and exciting. I agreed with her when she told me this school is very grand, no one could say this school is simple at all. The corridors are somehow sparkly and shiny, the floor is made out of marble that showed your reflection, the door handles and everything metallic is made out of silver and gold. Looking at this school it must have been a fortune to build all this.
“Ana, are you listening to me, Ana? Well I can’t blame you, I talk too fast. If you weren’t then I was talking about Waltz Haagen. You know about this don’t you? They say it’s some sort
