Jada;
Oh my God.
I am so gonna kill this boy. How dare he leave without me.
I glare down at my phone. I had 5 minutes to get into school, walk all the way down to English and be in my class.
Oh yeah, James is gonna get it.
I clench my fists and start off in a slow paced jog. One more block to go. Oh, he will be sorry.
I run through the gates just when I hear the second bell ring.
I can make it.
I deeply inhale before racing through the nearly empty corridors.
"Your late." I look at Mr Scotch tapping on his watch.
Yeah I know that. I roll my eyes mentally.
"..any excuse or reasons.."
I srunch up my face and point over at James.
He was sitting in the back corner with humour written all over his face. The son of a-
"go and sit down."
I slowly walk to my seat, making sure to glare deeply into James eyes. He was still laughing at me. How dare he? How fucking dare him!
I had to walk all the way to school. My feet killed. These are my new vans for fucks sake!
I am pissed. Beyond pissed.
A tuft of Black hair swished around.
Teyanna glared at me. I smiled sweetly at her.
She probably wasnt expecting me back. To bad.
Believe it or not, we used to be friends. Very close. Right from kindergarten till year 8. Apparently, I stole the only guy she could ever "love" from her. But no I didn't. He kissed me!
I was just dozing out when the door opened.
I look up from my folded hands on my desk.
Oh my God. Some fine boy swaggered into the room causing stares and mumbles from girls.
I swear, I was gawking at him. And I don't just fall for anybody at first sight.
He didn't look up at the class instead just walked striaght to Mr Scotch.
"Name?" Asks Mr Scotch.
"River. River Bennett." His voice! Omg. I swear.
He was wearing black skinnes, and a printed white tee, there was a tattoo on his wrist as he passed over the folder.
I stopped gawking and played cool, leaning back down in my chair.
Damn I should've worn something nicer on my first day!
I was wearing a white tank and low riding dark skinnies. My hair long and curly, flowing freely past my shoulders.
My hair and ass are my best features. My hair long naturally curly and golden honey coloured. My ass sticks out and is nice and round. But its hard finding clothes to fit. Eye roll.
Damn ive been thinking so much about myself, I forgot about this new hottie sitting on the left handside in the middle of the classroom.
"Now class. As I was saying, you all should have found out basic information about your partners. Such as, where they live, their birthday and more."
"Wait. What partners?" I ask.
The class stares at me and I feel heat burning to my cheeks. River is probably looking at me, pathetic, I know. But don't judge me.
"We have started a new project. But of course, you wouldn't know that." Mr Scotch sighs.
I look across the room at James. He laughs silently. I glare at him for not telling me. Hes gonna die twice!
"Soo, we need to set you up with a partner.." Mrs Scotch searches round the classroom.
'Aha!" He says finally. I laugh at his response as well as the rest of the class.
"You can work with Mr bennnett!" He dumps a folder on my desk. I guess it contained what the project was about.
I turn to look at River, with a 'I couldn't careless look'.
He groans rudely.
"Is there a problem Mr. Bennett?" Mrs Scotch passes another folder to his desk.
"Nope." He pops the 'p'.
I roll my eyes and pretend to look through my folder. First impression of this guy, has an attitude. I don't deal with attitudes so he can suck it up now.
The bell rang for next period. I jump out my seat and collect my bag.
I wait a few seconds to allow James to walk past my desk, he wisely takes another direction.
River;
Project?
I push the folder away and slump back into my seat. School here is as shit as my old one already. I pull down my cap and shut my eyes, ignoring the stares from some if the girls in the class. Did they not know I could see them literally gawking at me?! I cant wait to get out of this shit hole.
My mind drifts back to my hometown. Man, I missed it like hell.
It weren't perfect, but it's Home. My home.
I start to think about Trisha. How was she? Was she coping without me?
I know she'd be missing me as much as I miss her.
She'd probably be in school right now. She hates school, but she puts up with it.
Shes always had a goal to make something of her life and not end up like all the other girls, round there.
Damn, I missed her.
I missed her sarcastic remarks, and her witty replies. The way she tosses her long dark hair, when she's done with a situation. The way she stares deep into your eyes, when shes serious. Or when you mess up and she comforts you. And also, how bossy she can be. But caring, kind and gentle.
Shes a real women in my eyes. The only girl that I'd give respect. Others I would just use them for what they got, and leave them.
But with Trisha, I couldn't do that to her.
I'd have to kill myself first.
My last memory of her remains in my mind.
Sitting on the couch, chilling in sweatpants and no makeup on. Hair hanging loose by her toned shoudlers and arms.
Thats when I told her I was leaving.
At first, she was shocked. But when realising I was for real, her eyes widened and filled with tears. I remember pulling her into my arms and kissing her forehead, pushing back the hair falling onto her face. Shes beautiful- thats what I told her. But I never told her how I felt. I never told her that I loved her more than a friend.
I couldn't, she has witnessed me cheat on girls and play them like a toy.
She hates that side of me. I know she does.
But its not something that I can just stop doing. Even for her. Besides, I know i'll get fed up after a while and move on. Thats me, im a player.
Trisha deserves respect, someone to love her and care for her.
Jada;
I follow James out the classroom. My fingers had a tight grisp around his ear as I twisted.
"Ouchh.." moans James trying to free his ears. I tighten the grip.
"This. Is. For. Leaving. Me!" I shout.
"Jada. LET GO OF MY FUCKING EAR!"
I let go and smile. He's ears were bright red and sore.
"Damn Jai! You could've twisted it off." He moans.
"You deserve it. I HAD to WALK all the way!"
"Look in the bright side. You got to witness the beautiful fresh morning air."
"Boy you want me to twist again?" I threatingly move my finger up to his ear again.
"NO. NO. Don't touch my ear!"
"I suggest you button it then."
"Bossy."
"Don't start James. Im still pissed at you."
"Whats the difference?"
I reach and twist his ear again.
"Ouchh gods sake." He rubs at his ear.
"You are lucky your a girl." He adds.
"Oh am I? Even if I weren't a girl you wouldn't dare hurt me. Cos I would beat the black outta you"
"Jai. Your not scaring me."
"But my little friends do." I pinch my fingers together and laugh.
James sighs at my immatureness and heads to the boys changing rooms.
"Hey Girl!" I turn to see Tasha strutting towards me.
"Tasha!" I Lunge forwards at her and pull her in a deep hug.
"Shiitt. I missed you!" She smiles back at me, when Ifinally release her.
"Me too. Its been too long.."
We both laugh, then walk into the girls changing room. Tasha is my only real girlfreind, except for Telisha. But she moved back to her dad's.
"So whats been up?" Asks Tasha.
I open my locker, and pull out some sweatshorts and a tank.
"Nothing really..." I say.
Its not a lie. Nothings been up really.
"Mhhm." Tasha doesn't sound convinced.
We both walk out the gym and outside onto the field. We have moved on from gymnastics, and now are doing netball.
"Why does Teyanna keep staring at you like that?" Asks Tasha pointing to Teyanna. She was up on the wall and was stretching her long flawless legs. Trust her to have to shortest shorts.
"you you know that girl has always had something against me".
"True. Come on. We about to sort this out." Tasha grabs my hand, and starts yanking me over to Teyanna.
"Tasha. What are you doing? I don't wanna talk to that bitch."
"Im fed up of this, petty arguing and dirty looks. We about to find out what her problem is"
I sigh, but follow her anyway.
"What?" Teyanna says with attitude, when we stop right in front of her.
"You best drop that attitude. I ain't got the time or the d-"
I pull Tasha behind me. She twist her lips and looks at her nails.
"Look. What is your problem?" I ask, hand on my hip.
Teyanna stands up in front of me.
"Are you for real? You are asking me what my problem is with chu?"
She laughs sarcastically.
"Well baby girl. Thats why Im standing right here asking you the DAMN question?"
"You stole my man, and you standing here asking me shit?"
"Honey. Get over that shit. I didn't steal no man of yours for a start, and fuck I never kissed Jams. He kissed me. Besides, that was like 4 years ago!"
"I loved him." Teyanna starts breaking up in tears.
Just then, I realised this girl has serious issues. I don't love James, and never did.
I turn back to look at Tasha. She has humour written all over her face.
I could't believe this. This little bitch, was standing her crying about some boy that don't love her.
"Well, Im just about to go..." I turn on my heel and walk away.
Im not about to get into some little girl drama, over my bestfriend?!
".. And don't even dare think about taking the new guy."
I turn to see Teyanna looking as normal as ever. Her bitchy little self.
"Jai.Am I trippin' or was this girl crying a minute ago over Tye?" Tasha Laughs.
I laugh at how true this is, then turn to face the light skinned drama queen.
"bitch pleasee. You can have him to your little hoe self."
I walk away
