The New Student

I sat in my normal seat. It’s in the last row by the window. I wore black skinny jeans, a light grey baggy sweater, and black converse. I have snow  white hair, my left eye is emerald green, and my right is sapphire blue. All my classmates were talking before the bell rang. I was alone. No one talks to me, unless they're bullying me. The bell rang and everyone went to there seats, the seat next to me is always empty. The teacher walked in, but I kept looking out the window.

β€œClass, we have a new student,” announced Akiyama-sensei. I looked at the front as a boy with Pink hair and brown eyes, wearing a white dress shirt, red hoodie, grey jeans and red converse walked in.  I could tell he was about ten inches taller than me. I turned and looked back at the window. I heard my classmates whispering about him.

β€œCould you please introduce yourself?” Akiyama-sensei spoke.

β€œHello everyone! My name is Yukino Aoi! Nice to meet you!” Announced Yukino.

β€œAlright, could you sit next to Rikimaru-kun. Could you raise your hand Rikimaru-kun?” I raise my hand. Right as sensei said my name the room exploded with whispering about me. I heard him walk up to the desk and sit down.

β€œHello, my name is Yukino and you are?” I took a glance at him, I then looked around and saw people death glaring at most likely not to talk, so I didn’t.

β€œDont ignore me!” I wasn’t even going to talk any was. I never did. I haven’t talked in nine years and I’m fifteen. My β€˜father’ would beat me if I talked, so I guess I have this fear that if I talk I’ll be beat. I haven’t talked to the orphanage people. The way they found out who I was because of the townspeople.

The first four periods flew by fast, now it was lunch. I sat at my regular table in the back, alone. I saw Sada Tashi, one of my many bullies, coming to my table.

β€œDo you have my money, mime?” Sada said. He gave me the nickname mime because I don’t talk, now everyone calls me that. I dug in my pocket and brought out a twenty dollar bill and gave it to him.

β€œGood boy,” he said. He then punch me in the face. I stay like that until he’s gone. I look up to see Yukino looking at me. I look down at my bento. I pick up an octopus hotdog and nibble on it.

The rest of the day flies by and the next thing I know I’m walking to the orphanage. I open the front door and walk into the kid's room to see them playing. The all turn their heads my way and they all brighten up.

β€œSeiji-niisan!” They say in unison. They tackle me with hugs. I gave them all hugs and head back to my room. I do my homework, then head down to dinner which was rice and curry. I then go back to my room and read until bedtime.
