my clothes and put on an oversized sweatshirt and an ankle long skirt that was white. Then I walked out of the closet while putting my hair up. His eyes widened and then he started to snicker.
"I'm not vain," I said wiping my make-up off.
"You're going to school like that?" he asked. I nodded my head.
"Okay. Fine by me that no guys ever look at you," he said.
"WhatEVER Aiden!" I said walking out of my room. I grabbed my bag on the way out.
"Oh LIIINNNAAAA!! TIME FOR SCHOOOOLL!!" Shouted Aiden's mother up the stairs. Her smile wavered when she saw me coming down the steps.
"What is she wearing?" stage whispered Mrs. Day to Aiden. Aiden looked at me and then shrugged, a slight smirk on his face. I just grunted and walked out the door towards the car that Jason was driving. I plopped myself down into the front seat.
"What are you-?"
"Don't," I said buckling up my seat belt. He put his hands up in defense.
"Kaaayyy then," said Jason starting up the car. Aiden slipped into the backseat snickering. I turned around and stuck my tongue at him as the car left the castle mansion thing. He just smirked at me, his dark brown hair falling into his eyes and his blue eyes twinkling mischievously. I couldn't actually be mad at him ever when he looks at me like that. I just turned around and crossed my arms as I felt my heart beat faster and my breath came out quicker. Jason glanced at me as I was clutching my chest and breathing hard.
"Are you..okay?" he asked. I sat up real straight.
"Yup. Yes. Yeah. Good. Better," I said real fast. Jason just looked at me weirdly and Aiden scoffed.
When we got to school I ran quickly into the girl's bathroom. God, it was hot outside. What in the world was I thinking?? I took out a pair of sissors from my back pack and took off my sweat shirt. I took the sissors and ripped a big piece off from is and tied it like a belt loosely around my waist on my white tanktop. Then I took the sissors and cut my ankle long white skirt so it was more like a fairy like mini skirt. I tied my riding boots tighter and looked at myself in the mirror.
"Not bad, Linna. Not bad at all," I said smiling at myself. I applied a little eyeliner and mascara to make my gray eyes bigger. I stepped out of the bathroom and I saw Aiden look up and stare a bit longer than necessary. I just smiled and waved the scissors in my hand.
And then I dropped them on my foot.
I quickly picked them up and I saw Aiden laughing at me.
Psh. Whatever.
Suddenly Crystal and Taylor ran over to me.
"I knew this would happen," said Taylor. Crystal looked like a mess.
"How could you??! She's so nice and sweet and innocent! How could something like THIS happen??" asked Crystal.
"What in the world are you guys talking about?" I asked.
"YOU'RE PREGNANT!" they both shouted. I just stared at them.
My friends were the most stupidest friends in the whole entire galaxy.
"I think I would know if I was pregnant..." I said slowly. Then Taylor hit Crystal.
"See? I told you so," she said.
"Who said I was?" I asked.
"Oh, everyone's talking about it. That's why you're staying at Aiden and Jason's house. It's 'cause Aiden got you pregnant and your dad kicked you out," said Crystal. I just looked at her.
"Think about it. I've never talked to Aiden OR Jason before I moved in with them," I said.
"Then why are you living with them?" asked Taylor
"Because my dad got a new job and he let me live with his friend?" I said. Taylor and Crystal looked at each other and then back at me.
"YOUR DAD IS FRIENDS WITH THEIR DAD???!" they both exclaimed. I nodded my head. Then they both squealed. Well, anyone who heard that may not believe the whole pregnant rumor now...
"I've got to go tell everyone!" said Taylor running away from me.
"What does he smell like?" asked Crystal looking faraway into her own little world. I just looked at her in a mixture of disgust and disbelief.
Everyone was talking about it the whole school day. Some girls looked at me with awe, jealousy, and disgust. Some girls acted like they didn't care at all. Guys that normally wouldn't talk to me, did. It was like, I was suddenly socially acceptable just because I was living with Aiden and Jason. By lunchtime I was about to scream with frustration. Aiden sat down next to me, as I was eating alone again. (Crystal and Taylor don't have the same lunch period as me.)
"Hey," he said.
"Yeah. Hi," I said. He looked around.
"People are going a bit crazy about this aren't they?" I asked.
"What do you mean?" he asked.
"Do you not notice that almost EVERYONE is staring at us right now?" I asked. He shrugged.
"I don't really notice that type of thing," he said.
"You're just SO used to it, aren't you?" I asked.
"Hey. I'm sitting with YOU," he said.
"Yeah. Appreciate it," I said.
"I could have my pick from ANY girl at this school but I picked YOU," he said.
".....What?" I asked letting what he said sink in.
"Nothing, nevermind," he said.
"What the-? Aiden..." I said.
"I just meant that I'm sitting with you. What? Were you hoping I meant as a lover?" he asked teasing me, his blue eyes glinting with mischief. I shoved him playfully.
"C'mon. I'm not THAT easily fooled," I said. Aiden took out his I-pod and put an earbud into his ear as he started to eat.
"Oh, so you're going to ignore me," I said. He stuck the other earbud into my ear. So, I had to sit extremely close to him, my head bent close to his. I felt my heart thump inside of me. Saying:
Ai-
Den.
Ai-
Den.
Ai-
Den.
It sickened me.
The song that was being played was Drowning with Love by the Backstreet Boys. I couldn't help but laugh.
"You listen to the Backstreet Boys?" I asked.
"Yeah. I like them," he said winking at me. And suddenly, a mental list of what I wanted in a guy came to my mind. The first one, that said that they absolutely have to LOVE the Backstreet Boys, was checked off.
Not that I was trying to see if he was a guy that I wanted to date or anything.
I mean, after living with him for two days...
We just fought a lot.
Psh.
I don't like him at all.
Those good looks don't faze me.
His blue eyes don't melt me.
Don't be silly...
