Chapter 1
I walked into the classroom and there they were sitting next to each other. The spitting image of each other. I thought, hmm, this is weird. They're in the same class as me. But I felt my heart beating faster than a hummingbird's. And then suddenly, they looked at me with their sparkling blue eyes. Soon, the world melted away until all I could see was them. They both smiled at me and held out their hands at the same time. I looked at the both of my hands and placed them into their outstretched hands. And then the world exploded.
I woke up with a jolt, to the eyes of one of my best friend, Crystal. Her blonde hair was pulled back and her dark green eyes were staring into my face.
"Crysy! What the heck are you doing!? You scared the living daylights out of me!" I cried out.
"You were asleep," she pointed out.
"No dip sherlock," said my other best friend Taylor. She tossed her fiery red hair over her shoulder and raised an eyebrow at me.
"What were you dreaming about?" she asked.
"Yeah! We saw you smiling about something," said Crystal looking at herself in a small mirror. I felt myself blush.
"It was about them again, wasn't it?" asked Taylor.
"Well, no... Not really... The world exploded. The rest is a bit hazy," I lied. I felt my heart flutter just at the memory of them. Crystal smirked at me knowingly.
"Don't you think it's a bit odd? I mean, you've liked the both of them since the 6th grade. We're sophmores now. Don't you think you should ask out at least ONE of 'em?" she asked. I shook my head quickly.
"No. I can't," I said looking down at my hands.
"Besides, she won't be able to choose between the two of them," laughed Taylor.
"Well, one of them has a girlfriend anyway, right?" asked Crystal looking at me.
"Yeah. Jason has a girlfriend. But Aiden... He's free," I said.
"Aiden's a punk though," commented Taylor.
"Jason is the sweetie," said Crystal nodding her head.
"Whatever. They complete each other," I said. Taylor just mumbled something about going to sleep. Soon enough, it was dark and silent. I smiled to myself and then closed my eyes, snuggling furthur into my sleeping bag. Someday, I thought smiling to myself, someday, I'll be with one of them.
Chapter 2
I waved goodbye to my friends as they left.
"BYE LINNA!!" yelled Crystal from the front seat of her mom's silver van.
"TEXT ME!!" yelled Taylor from Crystal's mom's car's backseat.
"Kay! Bye!" I smiled and yelled back. Then they left. I closed the door behind me only to face my father's concerned face.
"What is it?" I asked.
"I got a promotion. We're moving," he said. I stared at him for a whole minute.
"WHAT?!" I screamed. I bet the whole neighborhood heard.
Two hours later and I was still pleading with him.
"Daddy! You can't DO this to me! I have to graduate at THIS high school! I HAVE TO!! You don't understand! My life will be RUINED! I can't start at a different high school! Do you know how cliquey people can be??" I begged and semi exaggerated.
"You've always been good at breaking barriers," my father replied. I just stared at him with my jaw wide open.
"It's like you HATE me or something!" I cried out. I had already texted Taylor and Crystal and my phone was buzzing because they kept texting back stuff like "OMG NOO!" "YOU CAN'T!!" "THIS ISN'T HAPPENING!" "Is this a joke?" "Linna this isn't funny!" I just ignored them.
Then I had a great idea.
"Can't I just stay with a friend?" I asked.
"Linna, this isn't a two week trip. You'll have to stay there for two YEARS," my father said exasperatedly.
"Yeah. I know," I said. He groaned and threw up his hands.
"Fine. BUT, I'll choose where you're staying," he said.
"As long as I get to go to the same high school," I said.
So it was settled. I was going to live with one of my friends. I couldn't help but think if my dad was going to choose Taylor or Crystal.
Turns out, he wasn't going to choose either of them.
CHAPTER 3
I looked out the window and crossed my arms.
"Are you telling me I'm living with people I don't KNOW?" I asked.
"You should be grateful," my father replied.
"Oh, I am Daddy! Don't think I'm not. Thanks for letting me stay," I smiled at him.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah," he said. Soon enough we were out far enough from our small townhouse to the huge houses. I squished my face against the cold window.
"WOW Dad! Your friend is rich," I said as we stopped in front of a building that resembled a castle. It was on a hill, outlooking on the whole town practically. My father parked in front of the castle house thing.
"I'll help you bring in your things," said my dad.
"Kay," I said looking in awe at the castle. Suddenly the door to the castle opened and I heard a scream.
"OH GOODNESS ARE YOU HER??! ARE YOU LINNA?? I'M SO HAPPY TO HAVE YOU IN OUR HUMBLE HOME!!" screeched a woman in her bathrobe. I waved slightly. HUMBLE home? She had shining blonde hair though and her face looked like porcelain. She ran up and hugged me. Her husband was following behind. He had graying hair but nice looking blue eyes. Those blue eyes looked a lot like-
"JASON! AIDEN! MEET OUR NEW HOUSE GUEST!!" called out the woman. I froze.
Jason?
Aiden?
This couldn't possibly be..
It isn't..
Is this some kind of sick cruel joke?
But, it wasn't. Jason and Aiden came out of their house as it started to rain.
"Welcome," they both said at the same time, smiling brightly.
"H-h-hi!" I stammered. Jason smiled sincerely and Aiden just smirked.
"It looks like it has started to rain! Come in! Come in!" jumped Jason and Aiden's mother. My father and I were rushed into their "humble" home. It was more glamorous on the inside than the outside. And the outside was pretty glamorous. Their mother looked so out of place in her panda slipperss and bright pink bathrobe.
"I'll take this," said Aiden taking my bags from my father.
Aiden.
Was.
Touching.
My.
Bag!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AND I WAS IN HIS HOUSE!
My dad looked at me.
"Well, I guess I'll be off. I'll see you next weekend kay?" said my dad.
I just nodded, I was still in shock. My dad left and then suddenly Aiden was leading me up to my room.
"My mother had fun decorating your room. We don't have girls here often. I mean, besides Jason's girlfriend but she doesn't LIVE here," said Aiden. I just nodded.
We stopped in front of my room and he put down my bags.
"I'm Aiden by the way," he smiled.
"Linna," I said shaking his outstretched hand and smiling shyly.
I.
WAS.
TOUCHING.
HIS.
HAND.
He looked at me curiously.
"Linna? Are you that girl who has been obsessing over my brother and I since the 6th grade?" he asked curiously. I just stared at him in shock as he smirked at me.
HOW DOES HE KNOW THAT?!
His blue eyes twinkled and then he turned around to walk down the hallway. He looked over his shoulder at me and chuckled.
"You're cute," he mumbled still chuckling. Then he walked away. I felt myself flush with embarrassment.
Wait.
Did he just call me-?
OH MY LOVING JESUS HE DID!!
I squealed into my pillow.
CHAPTER 4
I fell asleep and woke up with surprise. In my face, was sparkling blue eyes.
"You sleep for a long time," Aiden said after I screamed in fright.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE IN MY ROOM??!" I screamed.
"Waking you up," he said as if it was the most normal thing in the world. I wrapped my pink comforter tighter around me.
"So you wake me up by STARING at me?" I asked putting on my oversized glasses. He nodded.
"It worked didn't it?" he asked. I nodded my head.
"Most definitely," I said. My heart was still beating fast and hard. Probably from the fright, but most was from Aiden, sitting on my bed!!
"Well, Mother made breakfast. She's really going all out. She never makes breakfast," he said, his eyebrows knitted together in thought. God, he's gorgeous.
I stared at him for a long time. Then he looked at me curiously, his eyebrows raised.
"What are you staring at?" I blushed and ducked my head.
"Nootthhiinngg," I mumbled. He shook his head and got up.
"Get up. It's breakfast," he said.
"I'm up, I'm up," I muttered. I waited until he was out of my room before I took the covers off of me. I brushed my hair real fast and put on a little of mascara but made it look completely natural. Then I rushed downstairs and then calmed my heart before turning the corner to the kitchen.
"LINNA! YOU LOOK SO PRETTY! EVEN AFTER JUST WAKING UP!!" shouted their mother before practically attacking me with hugs. Aiden just raised his eyebrows at me and then smirked and looked away. Jason just stared at me while I nervously tucked a lock of auburn hair behind my ear.
"Sit! Sit! Sit!" cried their mother.
"Thank you, Mrs. Day," I said, my eyes widening at the feast in front of me. She smiled and patted my shoulder.
"Oh, Linna! Don't call me, Mrs. Day. That's so..formal! Just call me Auntie Sharon!" she cried. Then she clapped her hands.
"Oh, this year is most DEFINITELY going to be fun!" she said looking at me mischeivously. And suddenly, I was scared for my life.
...........................
I was slipping on my gray-blue skirt that matched my eyes and made my already long legs look longer. I slipped on a longsleeved light pink shirt and brushed my auburn hair, letting it hang down over my shoulders. Aiden poked his head in. I turned around, annoyed. I had already spent the weekend with them, and Aiden didn't seem to understand the word "PRIVACY". Even after I put a PLEASE KNOCK sign on my door, he just ignores it. One of these days, I'm going to be changing and he's just going to waltz right in like he owned the place.
"Aiden, what if I was changing?" I asked putting a hand on my hip.
"You weren't. You were just staring at yourself in the mirror like a vain teenage girl," he said sitting on my bed. My eyes widened as I stared at him in shock.
"VAIN?!" I screeched putting my hands over my mouth. He rolled his eyes and chuckled.
Was I really vain for wanting to look pretty??
I should just wear oversized sweatshirts and ankle long skirts from now on shouldn't I?
And NO make-up!
Then he couldn't possibly call me vain.
Jerk.
I glared at him.
"I'm not VAIN," I said. He looked at me and then looked me over. Then he raised an eyebrow. I humphed and turned away from him, crossing my arms.
How can he say I'm VAIN??!
I walked into my closet and slammed the closet door closed. I took off
