that funny at all.
"PLATYPUS! BONANZA!" I shouted as loud as I could, trying to make sure my dogs could hear me. They immediatly stopped and lined up in front of me. Both vampires stood in awed silence, mouths open, watching me with new found fascination.
"What?"
"You can control these demonic spawns?" The intruder asks me with wide eyes.
"Yes, they are mine." He nods at me slowly, with his mouth still open.
Blake starts stepping towards me, but half way across the room, my babies turn and start growling. They bared their teeth and slowly advanced in a straight line.
"PLATYPUS!" I yelled again and they stop. Blake threw his hands up in the air, trying to show that he was no threat. His friend slid behind him, using him as an undead shield.
I chuckled and yelled, "POGO!"
My babies quieted down and went to stand in the corner watching. If it had been a human, they would have left the room trusting me to call them if I needed their assistance.
"What are they? No way in hell those are normal dogs!"
"You can control them with such silly words? Absolutely AMAZING!" Blake yells striding towards me.
"They're not silly words; they’re the command words I used to train them. Itβ€˜s not like I could use every day words, I had to use something you wouldn’t normally say in conversation." I suddenly feel so tired. Being around vampires for so long can be extremely exhausting.
"What are they???" No name asks again.
"Goliath and Sam, the ones that were on your arms, are Chihuahuas. Titan, the one that was sharpening his teeth on your legs is a Doberman pinscher. Fuzzily, the one that stood in front of me is a rottweiler.... The one that was tenderizing your @ss was Rasputin my St. Bernard."
"No way are these dogs normal. What did you do? Pump them full of steroids???"
I purse my lips at him and narrow my eyes. How dare he make such an accusation! "My dogs are a hundred and one percent drug free you butt hole!"
"Its true they're not like normal dogs." Blake says standing between us.
"That’s because they’re mixed. I got them from hunters." I say with a faint smile as I remember the days when I got them.
"No wonder I almost died!"
"Drama queen."
BAM! The hall closet's door flies open, and out comes a screaming girl wielding a broken umbrella dangerously. Her ferocious yell of β€œOOOOOHHHHWAAAAAAHHHAAAAAHHAAAAAA!!” Had us all so scared that we dropped to our knees in silent hysterics. We clutched our stomachs and tried our hardest to grasp at oxygen that just kept eluding our deprived lungs.
The dogs began growling and advancing on Warrior girl causing her battle cry to die down into rapid panicked breaths. β€œJ-Ja-Jace!!” she stutters out quietly before quickly backing her way back into the closet, never once looking our way.
Once the door shuts, the dogs lie down and get comfortable on the floor where they are and lazily watch us in the corner as we erupt into another round of laughter. After we finally sober up, we notice the quiet sobs coming from the closet and the guilt slowly starts eating at me. With a sigh I get up and lead the dogs into another room.
I feed them and walk back to the living room where the first thing I notice is the open closet door.
I turn my head to the right and see Blake leaning suavely on the wall with his hands in his pocket staring out the open front door. I turn to the left and see β€œJace” holding the red head from the bar while she cries into his chest.

(This book is not finished, and will be going under construction very soon. :)
