emotion controlling…grr. He wanted to shake her. Calling that manipulative old hag by her first name like they were good old friends, gag. He had failed his test in “Special Training” taught by the one and only Mistress of The Academy. A lady you did not want to meet, in her late 30’s and a retired assassin specialized in seduction and hypnotism, pulling out lies that were so convincing it could mess with your memory and make you think twice.
“Shutup vil du?”He said in a nasty tone, not meaning to make her sad again but even if she didn’t show her tears you could see the woe in her eyes.
“I am sorry I hurt your feelings.”Camilla says softly and opened the door and shut it without saying good bye, leaving him to mourn. After he heard the roar of the private jet he knew she finally left. He buried his head into his hands, blonde hair frazzled, reflecting his mood.
“I am so dense.”He mutters while aimlessly walking through the airport roads, the driver following him a hundred yards away, lights off, Tyson paid him no heed. His suit abandoned, his mind wandering, hands deep into his pockets, head hung low.
Not his usual self I assure you, depressed wasn’t the first time in his life; he kept seeing her sad grey and purple eyes staring back at him behind his eyes while walking. The limo had lagged behind farther and farther on the dirt roads, Tyson still registered in his depressed trance he heard the whispering Spanish from thugs and the scruff of metal brushing their calloused hands. Tyson stopped walking, his mind back down on earth, his blue eyes hardened, he had no weapons on him.
“Salen esté donde esté.”He yells out, he looked back to see that he was surrounded by slum thugs that didn’t have a penny to their names. He smiled humorlessly, eyes cold marbles again, he cracked his knuckles. The pueblos stare at him with cold eyes that reflected back void black, they swung their weapons in place, Tyson dropped his jacket and rolled his neck. He was waiting for a release to happen, to release his anger and confusion. His love for Camilla was either dying or thriving, his need for release from the confusion.
After he was done with them, the seven of them lay dead with their dingy weapons, eyes still wide in shock from the onslaught they had provoked on Tyson. After all, without his emotions in the way, he rather enjoyed his job. He decided alright, his decision was clear. He allowed the driver to open his door for him and got in, once the driver was settled in Tyson was already devouring those chocolate dipped strawberries.
“Take me to Colorado.”
Family Time
The plane ride was fast, as usual, without her really noticing. Going on them hundreds of times really gave you no jet lag that much, or wrinkles but it made her a little less connected to her senses. And after staring/brooding into the dark window, the stars seemed less bright, dull really. Like they forgot to spit shine themselves before the moon came up, she sighs, and thinking about spit shining stars was ridiculous.
She cuddled up in her first class recliner that was toasty warm, her head buds stuck in her ears. Who says assassins can’t listen to music? They’re not totally heartless to listen to some Nirvana and Smashing Pumpkins. Tyson’s betrayed face haunting the back of her eyes, she wanted to get her eyelids removed to where she’ll never have to close her eyes, he’d still find a way to get into her eyesight.
The North Carolina airport was as banal as the other airports in America, maybe a little more cleanly but nothing else really, like a exit. There was certainly no one to wait for her, no arrests, and certainly not her family ready to envelope her in welcoming arms. Or that detective, she rolls her eyes underneath her sunglasses and readjusted her beanie hat. She walks all the way outside of the glass double doors, one ear bud in dangling and nothing on her except the clothes on her back. Camilla walked farther and deeper into the lit up parking lot of the airport. No one gave her a second glance in her get-up.
Secluded in a spot where the parking lot lights were far away and camera’s blurry, the black Rover 75 BMW stood there, lights off and engine purring, she keeps walking until she reaches the passenger door and gets in.
“Bonjour s½ur.”In shock she almost punched her darling blonde haired beauty brother on the pressure point that would be a pass out spot but stopped short, his hand blocked it. They smile at each other, proud of her little brother blocking.
“Bonjour Augustus. Bonne bloc, ce que vous êtes ici?” Hello Augustus, good block, what are you doing here? She asks as he pulls the car in reverse with a fast jab. They mostly spoke in French when they got together, they were full blooded French and they learned that language first. But she had not expected her brother to be here, picking her up from her hit! Speaking of her brother, he smiles at her, dimples exposed, she loved her brother. No matter how annoying he could get, even in their visits. He still kept his innocent part of him, Camilla can’t say the same, hers was long gone, and pride replaced it.
“Thank you. I missed you sis! I just got done with a test, I aced it.”Augustus flashed her a wolfish grin, Camilla saw almost everything. Her brother was terrible at masking his emotions, she snorts in amusement.
“Oh and what about?”
“Madam Yoldak’s class,” August sighs and rubs his eyes and pushed the accelerator harder. “But I just finished it and I got it down pretty good.”He seemed happy then, in a teenage boy way, like he just got laid. Camilla rolled her eyes and forced him to go above 90, too slow to like.
“Hmm, I just graded someone in Mexico.”She felt something inside of her move, instead of pondering it she looked up at the un-clouded full moon.
“How did he do?”He pushed harder on the accelerator and made the BMW go harder, they had just gotten off the interstate and onto back road country. The thick pine trees swayed in the breeze, blocking most of the light from the moon, the road black. Camilla sighs and rubs her tired eyes, she had probably gotten 24 hours of sleep total this week, and it was only Sunday.
“He failed. Yoldak has a grudge against him I think.”Camilla says while twiddling with the radio, when nothing but fizz came up she turned it off with an irritate flick. Augustus slowed down to look at his sister for one glance, her face showed more than she planned, he put a hand on hers.
“Sis, did you like him?”
“I’m not supposed to. You’ll know that when you graduate.”Camilla says softly, he nods, as if he perfectly understood, well he didn’t. The initiation of graduating was modified every year but the main goal was the fearlessness you have to get the passing grade. To not mourn too greatly on your official first kill, there were several tests.
“How has Yoldak been?”She tried to change the subject, Augustus noticed.
“You know you can just say you don’t want to talk about it if you don’t want to. And for your information, she’s antsy.”
“Antsy? You mean bitter?”
“No, we hardly see her that much unless for a assembly or one or two classes a week tops.”
“Hmm that’s unusual. There has been numeral new student though that have been transferred to Colorado. Yoldak has been talking to me lately, when I’m not sleeping or busy, she wants me to come back to GJI.”
“Vous devez revenir ! Peut-être vous pourrait nous enseignent.”You should go back! Maybe you could teach us.
“Ah mais ensuite je dois rester puis.”
“I’m sure Mistress will allow you to travel when you wish, I’m sure of it now.”
“Oui Oui, nous verrons.”Yes yes, we’ll see. And then their conversation stopped.
It takes years to get to the final plane of expertise, Camilla at the top of her graduating class. She had just graduated three months ago from (Only students called it this) The Academy, officially named Gora Joben Institution, named after the founder of assassin schools across the worlds. And Mistress of the Colorado GJI just recently had asked only a handful of graduated students every five years for a placement as a teacher at GJI, Camilla was called for a group dinner at Colombia in two days. Camilla suspected that Mistress Yoldak, that Russian woman, wanted her to work at GJI. Camilla had no idea what she should decide, she hoped her brother was right.
“Camilla…? CAMILLA Réveillez le fuck!”Augustus yelled in the warm, recently silent car, Camilla’s head shot forward, essentially hitting her head on the roof of the car. She had fallen asleep right side up, the seat not even reclined and the car was rolling into the long gravely driveway. A hue of a glow illuminating on the hood of the car, a glass mansion sprawled out on the crushed shelled sand of the beach, only palm trees peppering the cleanly cut lawn. Lights were illuminated in the house of glass, glows of tiny lights from tiny flower floaters rocked in the pond, she heard the frogs throaty calls to its lover from here.
“Ne pas crier à moi !” Don’t yell at me! Camilla responded with a slap on his thigh, he howled but grinned at his sister and suddenly hugged her tightly, the breath knocked out of her.
“Je vous ai manqué soeur”I missed you sister. She sighs but kissed the top of his head, after all he was only 14, she missed him even more. If that’s possible, August thought of Camilla as a mother when their own blood one wasn’t around or very warm, a substitute.
“Moi aussi, me trop.”She sighs and let’s go of her brother and they get out of the car, the keys in her hand, after she stole it of course.
“Hey! Give that back!”Augustus yelled, lunging for the keys. She laughs side stepping him and whipped the heel of her foot hooking into the back of his knee, making him fall on his back onto the hood of the car. They laugh. He hustles his giggling sister into the grand front entrance of the house. One of their many houses their parent’s owned, thanks to her father.
Mr. Claude owned the major company called Plessey Company, home of the weapon trading, underground of course and the Black Market and other private businesses invest oodles of money into Plessey. But on the outside cover they are a toy company but by different company names. Toys Are Ours To Give store, a multimillion business as well, hundreds of stores in the world. So you can expect the Claude to have a nice pocket full of gold bricks in their pockets? No their smart and greedy, they invest and store it in many bank accounts in all different names.
They half run into the front of the house as they race to the kitchen, where their parents were silently sipping their steaming coffee, obviously the hot liquid didn’t bother them enough to wait. The kitchen faced the water so some of the moon light came streaking in, the roomed smelled of pizza, an unfamiliar smell in the room. They halt in mid stride and straighten up, their faces go blank, and something was going to unfold upon them.
Why? Because their parents have hardly ever been in the same room because either one
