A bed on the far left side and a wall built out off window. I hear footsteps behind me and yell out to Aden, yet when I turn I do not fin Aden I find the football caption. He looks at me and says” hello. So you and Aden, I don’t like it. I mean it’s me you should fall in love with not him. I only think of you.”He laughs. I try to walk past him but he grabs my hand and pushes me against the bed. “ nope sweet heart your turn to feel pain, but good pain. He starts kissing me hard on the lips as I try to push him away when he pulls apart I punch him and scream out adens name. he clamps his lips back onto mine as I struggle to get him off me. I hear a lot of footsteps coming into the room and hear half the team pulling him off me and Aden taking me in his arms. I stand on the far side of the wall with Aden in front. The foot ball teams captain witch I learn is named drake starts yelling.” She’s mine!!!! She will be mine just watch. The team is still holding on to him so I take my chance. I walk up to him and punch him in the face stomached and knee him. I then kick him and run back to Aden. Before we go I shout to him” screw you drake!!! Have a nice time!” Aden and I run out of the house and into the night. We get into the car just as it starts raining out. I text my sister that were ditching. We drive off towards my house and once we get there I climb up the stairs and change in my room. Aden following close behind. Aden goes into his drawer in my closet that is his. With all the rain outside I feel in the mood for a movie and snuggling in the dark. I tug on my dark gray sweat pant and slip on a black camisole. I pull my hair into a sloppy ponytail and take all my makeup off. I trudge downstairs and into the TV room. I pick out some random movie and go into the kitchen to make popcorn and ice cream. I hear the previews go on and on while I walk back to the room with popcorn and ice cream in hand. I put them down and sit on the couch munching on some popcorn, I hear thunder outside and pull a blanket over my body instantly relaxing. I hear Aden come towards me and sit down right next to me. I snuggle into his side and stay focused on the movie playing. He pulls a little black bag out of his back and puts it on top of the table where I can see it. Out of the corner of my eyes I see him smile triumphantly and lean back. My eyebrows shoot up in curiosity. I look at him and back to the bag. I sit up and pick the bag up. looking at it before opening the bag and taking out the little black box. I stare at the box in awe as if that was the most valuable thing in the world. I hear Aden chuckle with my expression and comments” you know the present it I think a little bit better than the box, but of Corse if you like the box it’s all yours.” I look at him with tear filled eyes. Controlling myself I sigh and open the box and look inside to find a beautiful black necklace with a heart and our names sketched into it. He breaths beside me “ do you like it?” I then burst out crying.
One month later: graduation day.
I put on my white graduation and white cap. I apply some more makeup and walk down the stairs. I get into my jeep and drive down to school. I park and walk towards the courtyard where the assembly was being held. I walk up to Aden behind his back and hug him. “Boo” “ oh hey Aubrey. Are you excited?” I’m very excited! I cant wait for us to move into our small house in saddle river! I can’t wait. Oh wow I don’t think the caffeine before this was a good idea.’” I laugh and kiss him gently. I walk down the seats finding my name. I hate the only thing is that my last name is cal. And so I am stuck next to mase. I sit down and wait for the ceremony to begin. As I see the parents file in one by one and see that my parents are with skyler. She’s missing her college classes for a few days. She came back from Colombia University, were she is learning and majoring as a teacher in the arts. When I hear my name be called I walk up the stairs, take my diploma shake my principles hand pose for a photo and walk down the stairs without tripping. I sit in my seat and wait for the ceremony to end.
The party is in full swing. All graduate all parents whew!!! I smile and pose for photos. I take my eels off and slip on some sandals. I walk out towards my lake and stand there just looking out to the water. I have my hand on my stomach when I felt her kick in my lower abdomen. I smile and looks into the sun rubbing my now slightly swollen tummy.
I feel Adens arms wrap around me and see his face turn to shock.” Why are you crying?” I feel my face and sure enough my face has tears on them. I look up to him and smile” happy tears, I’m happy” and for once I meant it. I’m surrounded by people who love me, and who I love right back. I’m not just a fragment of space but a piece to this puzzle we call life, love and happiness. I look at Aden and grab his hand and we walk towards our future.
