Wonderful!
Ramesh Bais, BJP leader
“The rape of grown up girls and women might be understandable, but if someone does this to an infant, it is a heinous crime and the offenders should be hanged.”
So you can rape a grownup girl without impunity!
!
“T. Thiagarajan, Puducherry Education Minister
The meeting of ministers has resolved to introduce overcoats for girl students [so that men are not driven mad with lust], operate special buses for them and ban mobile phones in schools.”
What will me wear please?
Manohar Lal Sharma, a lawyer who represented three of the Delhi gang rape accused
“The male companion of the murdered 23-year-old was wholly responsible for the incident as the unmarried couple should not have been on the streets at night. “Until today I have not seen a single incident or example of rape with a respected lady. Even an underworld don would not like to touch a girl with respect.”
Most irresponsible statement I heard about women!
Asaram Bapu, self-proclaimed Goodman
“The Delhi gang-rape victim should have taken God’s name and could have held the hand of one of the men and said ‘I consider you as my brother’, and should have said to the other two ‘brother I am helpless, you are my brother, my religious brother.’ In other words, if she had begged for forgiveness and cited the fraternity of man and called to God for help, all would have been well.”
Wah, Wah, Asaram, I refuse to call him Baba; he himself is in docks rape!
Deepak Haldar: West Bengal MLA
The TMC leader went on a rant saying, "As long as the Earth exists, there will be rapes." He went on to say, "Rapes have happened in the past and will continue to happen."
What a wishful thinking!
Tapas Pal, TMC
"Earlier, you guys have bullied me on various occasions. If you insult the mothers and daughters of Trinamool workers. Then I won't spare you. I will let loose my boys in your homes and they will commit rape. I will teach each of you a lesson."
Women’s Commission, can you tell the public what you have done on this?
Satyadev Katare, Congress leader in MP:
"Jab tak mahila tirchi najar se nahi dekhegi, tab tak purush use nahi chedega" (No man will harass a woman till she looks at him in a suggestive manner)"
Again blaming women!
Babulal Gaur, senior BJP Minister from Madhya Pradesh:
Foreign culture is not good for India. Women in foreign countries wear jeans and T-shirts, dance with other men and even drink liquor, but that is their culture. It’s good for them, but not for India, where only our traditions and culture are OK.
Go On Sir I like it
The Anjuman Muslim Panchayat in Salumbur town in Rajasthan decreed that girls should not use mobile phones outside their own homes or dance at weddings so that “they do not get involved with boys".
Can you chain them and keep them at home?
Jamaat-E-Islami Hind Secretary General Nusrat Ali:
Co-education should be abolished and proper education facilities meant exclusively for women should be available at all level of education. Educational institutions should prescribe sober and dignified dress for girls.
Great!
Congress MP Abhijit Mukherjee, son of President Pranab Mukherjee:
Those who claim to be students – I can see many beautiful women among them – highly dented-painted [sic] – they’re giving interviews on TV, they’ve brought their children to show them the scenes. I have grave doubts whether they’re students, because women of that age are generally not students.
Sir, not befitting to the son of President of India!
Dharambir Goyat, Haryana Congress leader:
" I don’t feel any hesitation in saying that 90 per cent of the girls want to have sex intentionally but they don’t know that they would be gang raped".
OMG, This is too much!
Having gone thru all these I can only say two things
No one has said a word about making men accountablr for tape. Is it, the rape, their birth rightAre our women folk so meek that they wont raise their voice against this male loaded politics?
41 Stranger than Fiction: 05 Nov 2014
Sometimes what actually happens is more bizarre than anything that could have been imagined.
The statement above is aptly reflective of the pathetic state of Indian National Congress at present. Lakhs of congress workers along the length & breadth of India are totally at loss as to what has gone wrong with the Party for whom they have shed blood, sweat and tears all these years since independence! They have seen electoral debacles in the past, but they were upsurged by Indira Gandhi, the Iron Lady of India in 1979 and Rajiv Gandhi in 1991. No one could stand in between the resurgence of Congress then because Congress was led by true leaders with charisma, conviction and will to win.
Now at the fag end of 2014 Congress, mauled and disgraced by the onslaught of BJP led by a vibrant leader Narendra Modi who is bestowed with that indefatigable oratory matching that of President Sukarno of Indonesia of the past, looks to the sky in bewildered amazement. Isn’t it stunning that Congress was decimated to just 44 seats in the parliament and then voted out from their bastions in Haryana & Maharashtra by sheer magic of Modi & Co?
.
Some of us may not digest the BJP’s nationalistic philosophy often criticized for Hindu fundamentalism and intolerant religious outlook. But you can not but nod your head in appreciation of spectacular electoral gains BIP & Its allies won in May and in Oct, at the same time wondering as how you can win back the fortunes of Congress who molded and shaped India for long years before and after independence. Your thought process would take you to the most dreaded and unpleasant fact that our Congress is seriously plagued with “Rudderless Syndrome”. There is no point in resorting to a postmortem now, instead tax your brains with an unbiased introspection as to how one can redeem the situation.
Alexander the Great is attributed to have said once “An army of sheep led by a lion is better than an army of lions led by a sheep” Congress is at the moment is an army of sheep led by an unwilling sheep. No lions anywhere to be seen! There are scores tired congress leaders who just can’t think beyond Gandhi/ Nehru family to lead them. Isn’t it stranger than fiction that the former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh with impeccable integrity chose not to present himself before the public and accept the responsibility of the defeats of Congress? More confusing is that Congress President also keeps a low profile leaving the disinterested and unequivocally below par Rahul Gandhi to rejuvenate the sagging morale of the Congress. Digvijay Singh asserts, “He would bounce back when the honey moon is over” Bounce back on what & whose honeymoon?
Most inexplicable fact is that top leaders like AK Antony, P Chidambaram, Anand Sharma, Sushil Shinde, Gulam Nabi Azab, Salman Kurshid and the likes conveniently mask themselves from visual & print media leaving the unenviable task of facing the media to under prepared and less knowledgeable Sanjay Jhas, CR Kesavans, Poonawalas, Randeep Surjewalas, Salman Zozs and so on firmly believing that their insalubrious rhetorics would bring back some solace for the time being!
Frankly speaking, lakhs of disenchanted Congress workers are groping in dark to find a savior! Please do not push them to the Wall, once pushed they will react so dangerously that no one would be able stop them!
42. Hridaykumari Teacher passes away . : 07 Nov 2014
1960- 63 may be remembered as a golden era of insight by the then students of language and literature of University College, Trivandrum, for, the college had the rare fortune of having a cluster of most gifted and celebrated teachers of the likes of G Kumara Pillai, Ayyappa Panicker, B Hridayakumari, Sreenivasan, MG Sudhakaran Nair in English Dept and ONV Kurup, Thirunalloor Karunakaran, Anandakkuttan, Sulochana Teacher, Pala Gopalan Nair in the Malayalm Dept. Science students like us, always envious of elated stature of our literature counterparts used to compete each other to grab a seat (bunking from our subject hours) in classes where teachers like G Kumara Pillai, Ayyappa Panicker, Hridaykumari, ONV Kurup and Anandakkuttan in particular were in full flow.
I was one among those who were fortunate to have ONV and Hridayakumari teacher for our Malayalam & English language periods. Even after 52 years those hours do prop up from memory at times elevating me into a different plane altogether. ONV’s had been like a cool evening breeze with out much of turbulence carrying with it all the fragrance of the day that less mortals like me could have missed out in haste. Teacher’s lectures were characterized by the elegance of words that she carefully chose to make us understand what she meant and the ability to structure the sentences, at times subtle too I felt, in utmost perfection thus enabling us to assimilate better. I have questioned myself many a times whether English is such a language which could be mastered and spoken so easily but with authority and dignity by some one like the Teacher, a young woman at that time! In the sad demise of Hridayakumari Teacher we have lost an excellent English educator who devoted all her life in promoting the study of English language and literature as well as literary creativity. The fact that the Under the Greenwood Tree English Club, which she founded, celebrated its 7th anniversary in May this year bears ample testimony to her devotion to English literature
May Her Soul Rest in Peace!
43. You can't insult the PM of India : 13 Nov 2014
Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India
Do not politicize him Please!
Tomorrow, Nov 14, the Nation is celebrating the 125th Birth Anniversary of the first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, the architect of Free India. Congress is holding an International conference in Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi on Nehru’s legacy.' Invitees to this great function are reps from Afghanistan, Communist Party of China, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, and Communist party of Vietnam, party leaders of NCP, SP, TMC, CPM, CPI, DMK, AIDMK and JDU. Media says leaders like Mulayam Singh, Mamta Bannerjee, Prakash Karat & D Raja are to attend. The irony of the fact is that the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi & reps from Shiv Sena & Akalidal not invited.
It is fine; they can seclude the parties they detest, no problems! But you cannot, in an international meeting held in India, ignore and belittle the Prime Minister of India because he happens to be from BJP. He is the PM of India not by default but by choice of the people. By not inviting PM for the celebrations of 125th Birth Anniversary of Jawaharlal Nehru the organizers have insulted the whole Nation. To say the least, Jawharlal Nehru an International Politician is being abused to wage a political war with BJP & its allies by the Congress!
Will Congress explain how they can stoop to such a level with out slightest pain in using none other than Jawaharlal Nehru for fighting petty political battles; the common man is not interested at all! Have they forgotten the words of Sonia Gandhi in 2011 that PM is above all politics and he/she be revered as the idol of the Nation
Don't I need an answer Mr Ahmed Patel?
44. A leaked Corporate Story : 25 Nov 2014
Note: The source can’t be revealed for security reasons
Night. 1130 sharp. Bit drizzling out side. Chairman’s Samsung mobile rings up in full volume. Chairman who was watching a Good Morning Serial on his Plasma TV reluctantly picked up the phone
“Hello Chairman here”
“Boss”
Chairman could make out the anguished voice of the caller.
“ It seems that that idiot of the century will spill the beans”. It was the voice of one of the Board members, Chairman could make out in a splash who he was.
“Come on yar! whom are you talking about”
“Ohh! Boss you are so naïve! Can’t you guess who could it be? Look, I can’t spell his
