This is a warning. If something doesn't change soon the world as you know it will end. I know what your thinking. βWhy should I listen? People claim the world is ending all the time.β I would have said the same thing if I were you. That is why I'm going to tell you what happened to me and hope you listen to my pleas. My name is Jade and I am one of the few survivors of the time collapse.
The first wave of the time collapse happened in December of 2013. I had just turned 18 and was getting ready for my first year of college. My dad was working so I had to pick my brother, Daniel, up from his high school. As he was getting into my light blue 1994 Camero, I noticed everyone was panicking. I assumed some kid had pulled out a gun, it wasn't uncommon in our neighborhood, but then a blue light caught my eye. In the distance it looked like a giant soap bubble was forming. I was wondering how they kept it from popping when I heard someone scream βLook at that idiot!β. A kid had gotten a stick and was obviously planning to try to pop the huge bubble when it got close enough. I hurried my brother into the car and told him to roll up his window. He did as I told him. We watched the kid as the bubble moved closer. Finally it was in range and he threw the stick at it. I gasped in horror as first the stick then the child turned into dust when the bubble touched them. Everyone started screaming. I turned the key in the ignition but the car just wouldn't start. I watched as the bubble-looking-thing covered the school turning it, and everything inside, into dust. If we could of out run the thing I would have grabbed my brother and took off but it was moving too fast. As it reached my car I closed my eyes and waited.
A few moments later I opened them and saw that,by some miracle, we had survived. It had bypassed my car. I looked out my windshield and saw another car had also survived. The driver opened his door hesitantly and stepped out. I recognized him as Damian from my psychology class the year before. I remembered he had a sibling at the school also, Samantha. Before I could say anything a huge scaly bird swooped down and started carrying him away. Without thinking I grabbed the hand gun out of my glove box, jumped out, and started shooting at the bird thing. On my third shot I hit it in the neck and it dropped to the ground dead.
I ran over and saw Damian was still alive. I thanked god I lived in a town were having at least one gun was necessary to survive. βJade? Thank god. I thought I was going to die.β he said panting. I nodded. βCome on we need to get back to the cars I'm sure there are more of those things out here.β I said helping him up. We hurried back to our cars. I went to around to my trunk and pulled out more ammo for my gun, two walkies-talkies, and 3 more guns. I was glad I had a obsession with guns and weapons since I was 12. I handed Damian a hand gun, a rifle, ammo, and a talkie. βWe may get split up and my cell isn't working. I only have so much ammo and I don't know if any more is available so use it wisely. There is a military base around 20 miles north. That where I usually buy my weapons. I'm going to see if there's anything left.β I told him loading my shot gun and setting it in the back seat.
βHow are you so calm about all this?β He finally asked putting what I gave him in the car with his sister. I smiled βI was always ready for the end of the world. I was hoping for a zombie apocalypse but dinosaurs are okay. This is way better than us all dying in a nuclear war, at least we get a chance to survive this way.β I said laughing. He raised an eyebrow. I sighed. βI wanted to be a fiction writer so I read a lot of novels about the end of the world. I figured it would do us no good to panic and make rash decisions.β I answered him honestly. He nodded and got into his car. βWe'll follow you then.β I got in my car and we took off.
