Chapter One
I was alone in the woods and I liked being alone. I usually was. I heard a scream of what sounded like a young woman. So maybe I wasn’t alone. I followed the sound and found a girl laying on the cold wet grass. It started to rain. I picked her up knowing that Mason got to her. Mason was a vampire like me and me and him weren’t real close but we didn’t hate each other. I was mad that he got this woman. She looked like she was in her early 20’s.
I carried her up a tree and I looked all around. I tasted her blood. I could tell that it was Mason. I was trying to find Mason because the blood was freshly sucked. There wasn’t much blood left in her body. I didn’t find Mason but I figured he wasn’t far.
I got down and threw the dead body into the river nearby. After that I started to head home. I was about half way there when I got this idea. It wasn’t a good one though. I thought I should go to school. At least for a while. There has to be good blood there. I thought quietly.

Two weeks after I found myself getting ready to go to school. What am I doing??? I thought. This won’t work. I know it won’t My thoughts were interrupted by my phone ringing. I picked it up because I knew it would be my dad.
“Hello?”
“Hey! I hear you’re going to school.” It was Mason.
“Where’d you hear that from?”
“All the updated vampires know.”
“Well I’m not going to.” I said. I wasn’t really going to after I thought that morning. It was almost 8:00 when Mason called.
“You probably should unless you want to be called a betrayer.”
“What?! It’s not like I’m committing a crime.”
“Yeah I know. I’m just messing around. You should highly consider it though.”
“I will live my life and you can live yours.” I hung up after that. I was kind of mad but I decided to go to school. I slipped on some jeans and a shirt. I brushed my teeth and looked at my clock. It was five of 8:00. I ran out the door and ran to my truck. I got there at 2 minutes before 8:00. I was fast. I was a vampire and I lived about five miles from the school. I have dark hair, green eyes, I’m pale and tall. I was pretty different from the people. Well except for the fact that I drink blood.

Chapter 2

I was getting ready to go to social studies and I was passing the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. She was shorter than average and had brown hair that went to her a little bit past her shoulders. It was straight and beautiful. Well anyways I was walking past her and she dropped all her books. I think she was going to Western Civ. Because her books were labeled. I saw a group of girls walk past laughing. It made me fill with anger. I hated those girls instantly. Then just as she was bending over to get the books I saw one of the girls foot trip her so she fell face first onto the hard floor. It look like it hurt but she got up fast and swung around to look at the girls. They were, no doubt, talking about her. I yelled so loud at the girls and I knew that they didn’t like it. I shouted stuff like t back to hell off and stuff in that matter. I wanted to be nice so I grabbed all her books and handed them to her.
After thinking about her and not paying any attention in social studies I wanted to get out of this school as fast as I could. So after my last class, science, I went out the double doors and just stood there as people piled out. I wanted to talk to this girl. I tried to tell myself not to but I couldn’t resist. I went back inside. I wasn’t paying any attention and I ran into her. She dropped the book she was reading and without thinking I used vampire speed and picked it up and handed it to her. Her mouth was dropped open. I knew she thought it was weird. We just stood their in the halls staring at each other. It was nice. I had never felt that way. I was in love.
“I have to go catch the bus.” she spoke like an angel. I walked her out to find no buses. I didn’t care. I had my truck. She said something else that I can’t remember. I was to busing staring at her and thinking about other stuff. Like her. And blood. I was thirsty but I thought I could wait.
I got into my truck and drove onto Main Street. I saw her walking so I stopped, got out and asked her if she wanted a ride. She said yes which thrilled me though I didn’t show it. We drove and drove. We also talked for a little while. I told her my name, Griffin. She told me hers, Angie. I loved the name. Angie. We drove and then at some point we were staring into each others eyes. We were n a different road by now. I wasn’t paying any attention to the road. Just her. We went into the other lane and I heard a loud horn. I turned to look at the road ahead and I saw a big 18 wheeler coming towards us. I quickly shifted back into out lane. We didn’t say anything more for a long time.
Chapter 3

When we got to her house I followed her into her bedroom. We hung out in there and we started laughing because she tripped and fell onto the floor. I had my mouth open reveling my sharp fangs. She saw them and I quickly closed my mouth. I ran out the door. I got downstairs and I smelt blood. I ran back up. I saw she had cut her finger. I knew it was to get me to come back up. I did and I was tempted t drink it. I knew if I started I wouldn’t be able t stop. I told her to run because I loved her and I didn’t want to kill her.
She opened her window and leaped out. I knew it was high up and I figured she had forgotten it was 3 stories up. I jumped out after her as fast as I could. I got under her and we landed. She was fine because she landed on top of me and I was okay because I’m a vampire. Basically indestructible. She bushed her sweet lips against mine. I ran my tongue against her teeth. I felt her tongue press against my fangs. She stopped. I didn’t want her to stop. She got up fast though. But was knocked down by a dark figure. I recognized him. It was Mason. He was on top of her about to drink her blood. I leaped towards him and started fighting him. He threw one punch at me and knocked me down. Then I heard three shots. None hitting near him. He jumped through Angie’s window and grabbed hold of her. I still couldn’t get up. I was bleeding bad and I was feeling too dizzy. I got enough strength to jump through the window though. I tackled Mason and Angie fell to the ground. I knew she wasn’t dead though. I could see her move. I felt a sharp pain in my neck and everything got blurry. Then nothing. I could only hear sounds. I was dying. I heard Angie drop right on me. Then my spirit was completely lifted. We died together.
