Brennan slowly approached the corner, without turning around. He didn't have to turn to know there were several following him. He listened as he turned the corner to footsteps speeding up, and seizing the moment, he broke into a sprint and touched his zero point leaper. He was instantly swallowed up in his Leaper Zpegs (Zero Point Energy Gravity Sphere) the size of a pea, and launched through the doorway of a nearby department store, before he dropped out. He walked quickly towards another exit. While the Zero Point Leaper wasn't his favorite of the Zero point force tools, he had to admit it had saved him more than once. Given his momentum, and a drastic decrease of surface area, he shot out like a bullet. He had used it to evade trackers before, and to fight... it was disorienting to be fighting a ZPF Agent from fifteen feet away, only to have him seemingly dissappear and reappear behind you.
He found an exit, and seeing a fire escape outside, he scaled it in haste. He had to mail the blueprints, but they'd cut off the post office. Could he find a way around?
Upon reaching the rooftop, he thought about it. The post office was only a block away, but the streets were likely crawling with them now. How could he get to it? There was no way they were gonna let him out of the country with it. Even if he packed them in a Zpegs so small the border control wouldn't see it, that would only ensure he lost it.
He reached into his Zero Point holster, which opened with his wrist implant. Another invention of Metron Zebvox, the inventor of all the Zpegs tech and the founder of Zero Point Force, the holster was a sphere sealed to his belt, but that could be any size on the inside. He preferred his not too large though... he'd rather reach what he needed in an instant. And this instant, that was his blueprints package. He looked at it, a swirling ball of blue, a Postal Zpegs already labeled and prepped for transit. The holster tech was sold by Metron to the postal services for a hefty fee, but they had redefined transport. No longer did the size of the item matter, and the postal costs had dropped substantially. Metron had sold many of his technologies to the public for different purposes. The interplanetory rail transport system, for instance, relied on the same tech as his Zero Point Leaper... adjusted, of course. Of course, not all Metron's tech was sold. Some, like the Zpegs' shield tech (a function of being impenetrable without Brennan's implant) Metron kept for the ZPF team, like the Shield grenade (A small Zpegs that released a Zpegs larger on the outside than it was on the inside when triggered, that formed a protective barrier around an agent.
He reached into his holster and pulled out his Field Detainment System. A compact rifle that launched stored Zpegs' with shield tech, it was used to temporarily detain assailants. But perhaps it could be used for a different purpose. He ran across the roof to the next adjoining building, than to the next. If he could get within shooting range of the post office, maybe he wouldn't need to deliver the package in person. He reached a street, and glanced over. He'd have to get within range of the post office, and even then, there was no saying that he could make the shot. Someone would have to have an open door... and he'd have to have a perfect angle.
He walked along the opposite side of the roof, trying to find the perfect vantage point. He'd almost given up, until a receptionist moved, and he saw the postal bin, filled with the pea sized packages. He leaned the rifle on the side, placed the package in front of the rifle, and waited for someone to enter. Someone soon did, and he breathed deep before taking the shot. The tiny sphere made it down, through the door, and in the bin! He left quickly. If he could reach the end of the block before descending, he might have a chance at making it to the extraction point. Those blueprints would save many lives in the coming coup; the end of Rage was near.
