My best friend betrayed me. Now she wants me back.

 

Dear HNA,

 

I did something really bad. And then lied and said I didn't do it. My best friend snitched me up and now I hate her. But we have been friends for three years and I Kinda....don't want to hate her anymore.

 What should I do?

Dear Backstabbed,

 

You should do what feels right.

 

On one hand, you just admitted that you were in the wrong. You were the one that did something bad. You lied. It's your fault. On the other hand, she's your best friend. She's supossed to look out for you. She's supossed to be the one that can keep your secrets.

 

You miss her. You've been friends for a long time. One problem like the one you have stated to me should not just break that friendship. Work it out. You have admitted to me that you were in the wrong. Don't let pride get in your way Backstabbed. Maybe she had a solid reason for doing what she did. Just like you had to have had a reason for doing what you did.

My brother has passed away. I've heard youv'e gone through something like this...I feel...kinda empty. What happens now?

 

Wow. Okay. Just so you know. When I opened my inbox today, I didn't expect that.

 

Having someone die is hard. Right now, your feeling broken. Cold. Numb.

That's how I felt. My twin sister died due to cancer a year ago. March the 16th. It still hurts.

 

What happens now?

 

Nothing and everything.

 

Nothing can change the fact that your brother is now gone. Nothing will bring him back, especially the crying that your probably doing. I'm not going to tell you not to cry, you can. You should, it's healthy to let out everything, every once in a while.

 

But laugh too. DOn't feel guilty that you get to live your life and he doesn't. From the minute he was born, his death was written in stone. All you need to do...is slowly move on. Get yourself back together. Fall in love.

 

But don't forget.

 

That's the important thing.

 

Never ever forget your brother. Don't forget the times you fought. The times that you laughed. That one secret ony you two knew and everyone missed out on.

 

Because those are the things..the memories..keeping your brother alive in your mind.
