Moonlight Tears
Now.
There she is standing again. Watching the wide land in front of her. Above her head a cold moon is shining down on the snow covered earth, giving the crystal appearance of the snow an icy, silver touch.
It is very cold, but she does not really notice. She is trembling, but she does not care. She is just looking forward, not moving. Her dark blue-black eyes fixed on a point in the clear distance of the night. Her eyes fixed on a point that does not really seem to exist.
Hours had gone by that way. She does not care. Not anymore. Timeβs something that does not exist any longer in her icy cold life. Her life...the awful wounded thing that she hates so much. The bad days and all the sad memories in her head. The pain. The suffering. The feeling of being alone. No, this is not life. It does not feel like life. It feels cold dead, cold, empty... Like a dying soul.
Something falls down in the snow. It is a little tear, shining like a diamond in the dark. She does not breathe. She does not want to destroy the sad beauty all around her. A silent, cold wind is blowing through her long, blonde hair.
Now she breathes. Just silent, as if she would not want to believe that she is still alive. One more year over... Another one. Another empty worthless year. Another lonely, sad year. The sadness...
She tried to change all that. She tried to live. She did! She wanted to. But she did not manage. She failed. Fell. Into completely dark emptiness. And now she probably has no more strength to try again. She does not want to try again. That would help nobody. Not her...not anyone. Nobody ever needed her. Nobody will ever miss her. So why staying. Why? What kept holding her back. Maybe there was something... No.
She is alone and she knows. And it seems to her like the snow would be understanding her, because suddenly it feels warm and comfortable like soft feathers.
She sits down. No matter that the long black dress gets all wet. And then, she smiles. A sad smile, a lonely smile full of tears which are running down her pale, cold soft skin. And it seemed that the moon would be crying with her, telling her that she is not alone. Telling her that he is understanding her. And it will stay, no matter what she will do.
There are no sounds, no words.
Just silence.
Nothing
but cold, tearful silence.
And in this silence the young vampire lies down to die.
