It was a very cold winter .The cold whispering wind has chased all the animals on their couch. From the night in its deep darkness only one light was visible from a small house on the edge of the village. Hungry wolves could be heard screaming so hard that you could die when you heard them.
You could see a shadow speeding through snow banks in the distance .A middle-aged man who left the car in the snow banks desperately seeking a rescue knocked on the door. But, to his astonishment, no one answered. He looked out the window as flames burning in the stove gave off the heat. He saw the Christmas tree decorated with globes and figurines of chocolate. On the white table with lit candles the
food was placed in dishes and red wine was poured into carafes...It suddenly heard the sound of bells. The man turned his head and he saw a sled pulled by white dogs with blue eyes...A woman descended from the sled and she invited him to enter the house..She invited him to eat and then she prepared his bed to sleep.....She then took the Bible and began to read until she saw the morning dawn...The next day they went up both in the luge and so the man reached his destination. He asked the woman if she needs money, but the old woman answered that she does not need anything because God takes care of her. Then the man, surprised, said that he is the new pastor. She smiled and replied :''
I think God was there last night in snow banks for us, but we have not seen him.'' .The pastor blessed her. The woman left the place and the pastor watched her away becoming increasingly smaller, until she disappeared like a shadow on the horizon. The woman returned to the farm to take care of her animals. The pastor was ready to begin his mission. He entered the church and began to pray for people in the village and thanked God for the faith of women.
