Stressing Already ?
Tomorrow is the moment of truth. I am excited, but nervous. Will I get lost ? Is it obvious that I am a freshman ? What am I thinking ? I should just relax. Everyone goes through this. Itβs just high school. Never mind about it. I am only stressing myself. Dad, when he was alive, always warned me of that. He always told me to relax. Right now, thatβs exactly what I will do. Calm down. Dad, if youβre looking down upon me now, help me. Guide me tomorrow. If possible, never leave my side. Papa, I love you.
Stop Stressing
Wow ! I was nervous for nothing ! So far, high school is great ! I love my classes. I love my classmates. I love everything about it ! Something really interesting happened today, though. Now, no one will probably believe me, but I can honestly say, I felt dad hold my hand. As I took my first step into school, I felt someone clutch my right hand. I looked at my hand, but no one was there. After, I heard someone whisper, βMy daughter, stop stressing yourself.β It freaked me out at first, but I realized it was dad.
Always with Me
I understand that I probably sound crazy. I mean, what kind of person says that ? Yet, something tells me not to doubt myself. I really believe my father was watching over me. Yesterday was great, but I learned something even more important than not stressing. Loved ones who have left this earth, never really leave. Their trace is always here. Whether you feel their presence or gaze at old photos, they will always be in your memories. Maybe what I felt, was my imagination. Yet, I will always be certain of one thing. My dad will never leave me.
