The Warrior

He stands tall, and proud; seemingly gazing out at the field before him. If you could see through his eyes though, you would see that he is analyzing the battle to come. Sword in his right, round buckler in his left, he stands ready. His armor, well kept, glistens in the sunlight.
As the brigade of red ants charges up-hill towards him, he stiffens. Although he is a warrior, brave and strong, and seemingly fearless, he is nervous. The outcome of this battle is unpredictable. He raises his sword, and lets out the battle cry that will start this war.

Pegasus

Under the crimson sky, they graze. One is painted, another is black, and the last one is white as snow. They look nothing alike, except for one noticeable trait. They all have wings. Are they done flying for the day? Are they just resting, and moving on in a few hours? We ponder these things when really we should be wondering, why do they have wings? Why are they showing themselves? But what’s this? The black one is giving birth! Out comes the little foal, as black as night. The others congratulate the new mother. One word describes them.
Pegasus.

The Ride

The wind blowing through my hair. The sound of galloping hooves. The trees passing by. The smell of the fresh morning air. The huge grin on my face forms while my loyal steed quickly treks through the clearing in the forest. I know he is happy, because horses are mood-sponges. They absorb whatever mood their handler is in. And mine, right now, is freedom. My heart leaps with every mighty stride this gelding takes. But now is the time to slow it down, we have reached our destination. As we slow to a stop, I thank him for the ride.
