My heart is panting, my stomach is cramped, still another hour to go before Philippe’s arrival. The way he talks, slightly rising his eyebrow, and how he pronounces the words, still carrying the uncertainty of the future, and the inexperience of the heart, every time I hear him, I fell in love with him over and over again. His eyes always light up when looking at me and the sweetest smile appears on his face, showing the most delightful teeth, framed by cherry lips.
I am a married woman, and Lilly my darling daughter is playing near me ignoring my turmoil. Sometime I feel like a can contaminate her with my indecent desires, and stain her white dress with my vicious thoughts.
I call for you my imaginary friend, nobody else can know. This morning I look myself in the mirror, and what I saw was an old sad woman. All the colors of my youth have been taken away from me and replaced by a black and gray shaded marital life. The only sparkles of color in my life are the feathers of my hat, and of course Philippe.
I keep gazing at the horizon, still half an hour to go before a small black dot will appear in the distance indicating that the train is coming. I feel like a dog waiting impatient for the return of his owner, just to chase a rotten bone. The true pleasure of Philippe will never be experienced by me. A softer, virginal, smoother shin will touch him. Someone that will resemble my darling daughter, but by then my adorable Philippe will possible be as hard and refractory as my husband is to me and the perpetuation of infelicity will just skip from me to my daughter. I should have the right to be with you Philippe before is too late.
