I am going to the fair today, I was going to go with my friend but when I phoned her, her mum said she was very ill. So I went alone. But to my surprise she was standing where we said that we would meet. I ran up to her. Something in the back of my mind was saying β€˜don’t go it’s not her’ but I just ignored it and carried on running. β€œKat” I gasped β€œwhat are you doing here your mum said that you were ill.”
β€œThat’s what she thinks I sneaked out!”
The voice started in my head again because Kat was the most well behaved girl I knew, she would never sneak out, but I might as well enjoy her company. I hooked arms with her β€œlets go and get some candy floss”
After a few rides we were starting to feel sick so Kat suggested we should go on a walk around ride I agreed so she said β€œhow about the clown house?” I choked on my smoothie. I knew she was joking because she is scared to death by clowns. ”Fine with me if it’s fine with you” I joked.
β€œLet’s go then” to my surprise she grabbed my hand and dragged me into the tent. Then it struck me my best friend Kat is allergic to candy floss and she hates fast rides also if she was Kat she would not be able to get within 10 feet to a clown tent without being terrified and biting her nails, and that was another thing this girls nails were immaculate.
This girl was an imposter. My mind suddenly when blank as I felt a sharp pain in my arm. As I slowly slipped into a sleep I saw the imposter girl standing over me with a smile on the face with a gang of clowns behind her. Before I blacked out my mind went back to the news the other night. A girl about my age had run away from home after killing her brother, sister, mum and dad. So this was her…
