The Raffle.

“Well, like the fish said to his brother, water we waiting for?” said the young and slightly impatient Brad.
“Hold it Brad,” said the year older friend Todd. “They still haven’t finished raffling off to the 7th graders.”
Just then two friends stepped out of Sargeway Junior High. ”Dudes! Check it out!” said the 7th grade Jake holding up triumphantly what looked to be a check worth $75.
“No, way!” exclaimed brad.
“Way!” said the much smaller 7th grade Zach. “We won the raffle!” Now in reality they had got 3rd place and 1st place was $150 but they weren’t going to pass up glory. Now, the four friends were 12 yr old Brad, 13 yr old Todd (who was held back a year after failing a math test he swore was for 10th graders), and 13 yr old Jake and Zach. Brad and Todd were in 6th grade and Jake and Zach (Zach being the keeper of the nickname Shorty) were in 7th grade. But they all went to Sargeway Junior High School.
“Wow, $75, imagine the water balloons you could buy with that!” mused Todd. You see, the four friends lived in Hawaii and loved to pelt the neighborhood girls with water balloons. “Well, time for us to raffle, let’s go Todd” said the also over-confident Brad. “May the chips be with you” said Shorty recalling the famous saying of Bedi master Soda in their favorite movie Sleepover Wars.

Inside the school there were thousands of students hoping to strike it big. ”C’mon Brad, there’s the counter. Here I’ll buy you a ticket.”
“Good, I’m flat out broke.”
“I thought you just got your allowance, like, yesterday.”
“Nah, spent it all on surf board polish”
“Hmm, well what’s your raffle number?”
“1-2-3-4-and 5. Yours?”
“6-7-8-9-and 10” They stood staring at their tickets for a few minutes.
“Well at least there’s a 99% chance either of us will win anything.”
“And the winning numbers are…”
“C’mon, Todd, they’re announcing the winning numbers!”
the announcer then said “And the winning numbers are 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9, and 10!”

“I know,”
“Yeah,”
“Pink jelly.” Jake and Shorty were in deep conversation when suddenly The doors fly open. “Dudes! We won 1st place!”
“What!?”
“Yeah! $150!!”
“How?”
“I don’t know!”
“Wa-hoo!!!!!” They then bought fifty packs of water balloons and the newest movie of Sleepover Wars and enjoyed their spring break.
Epilogue
Todd, Jake, shorty, and Zach were watching sleepover wars, Soda had just defeated the ultimate evil Dark Hideous, and now Jobee-San-Kerobee was learning the shwartz from Soda on planet Mega-Bar when suddenly, Zach asked,
“By the way, what did you draw at the raffle?”
“I can’t remember,” said todd, not wanting to tell the their numbers.
“I can! They were 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10!” blurted out Zach.
“No kidding? We got 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20.”
“Really? Huh.”
