Til Death Do Us Apart

Amaralynn stared, blinded by horrific beauty of the grand carved mirror in front of her. She knew the legend if the Soulless Estate, and yet she dared step foot into the demon's lair. What kind of monster? Well no one knew, at least no one alive. She muttered ancient enchantments, calling upon the beast within.

The golden beauty at the hall's end melted with the following avalanche of dust. A groan filled the room as footsteps were heard throughout the closed in space. Nothing could be seen. Nothing but two sinister, hatred filled, swelling, scarlet red eyes that glared down at the intruder.

A shutter went through her from pointed ears to nimble feet, as she silently screamed at the sight that bestowed her eyes.

Standing in the mirror's place, a giant version of herself was displayed. Ten times bigger and the look of rabies taking a toll, the creature truly was a nightmare. With a blood-curling shriek, Amaralynn stood frozen as the monster raised up to it's full height opening it's jaw wide.

"Happy Halloween," the sinister voice hissed with venom before Amaralynn lost consciousness, Forever.

The monster sank it's fangs into the last of the juicy flesh, ripping it to shreds. The demon shimmered, and with a wail of pure agony, it was gone.

The legend was true. The most fearsome beast across all of Norath would devour itself for it's final meal.
