My legs are wobbly when I walk down the hall. This is for freshman and junior. I can tell the junior are like, "Look at that weird ass ugly girl that looks nervous." They look at me weird as I pass by. Oh no, I was right! I wanted to hide under my hood but I finall t reach class 201. Mrs. Marson's class. I walk in. Right as I step foot in the bell rang. I put down my hood, my greasy and short brown hair is shown. This teacher was tall! I'm only 5"3 and she's like...5"9. I smile as I see her look at me.
I walk down the rows and find and empty seat. It was more in the back so that is what I wanted. I put my backpack down next to me, fixing lockers this year as I heard. I sigh of relief and look at the teacher. Or try to. Dammit! I forgot how short I am. This person is like 2 inches taller and I already can't see.
"Hello class, welcome to your freshman year." Mrs. Marson says. She flips to the smart board, her fishbraid tail swooping with it. "If you don't know, I am your ELA teacher. You have me for the next two hours.." I stop listening to her and lean down to dig in my backpack. I pull out my blue pencil case. I let it open. I forgot in 8th grade I kept like, 10 sharpened pencils in there. I take one out just if I need it.
"Now, if you were listening to me I am now taking roll." Mrs. Marson said. My heart beats fast, please don't call me first. "Ima Anderson?" She calls. I sigh. Good thing my last name starts with a B. We're apparently doing this in alphabetical order.
"Kallie Bree?" Mrs. Marson calls. I slowly raise my hand. "Hey Kallie, didn't see you there for a second."
I blush of embarrassment hearing kids snicker to that. Fuck!
After she took roll, she passed out a sheet. It was the first minute and we're already taking a pre-test? Oh yeah.
It's high school.
