The long-lasting pain of that which I have experienced makes me an expert in the suffering of everyone. What is this freedom we spend each and every day arguing for? The only freedom I see is the broom and the spiders I have called Billy and Timmy. Locked away with darkness filling my lungs. Who are we to challenge authority? When authority gives us no power to overwhelm them.
By societal standards I am quite young in fact I will be seven fairly soon. But donβt allow a number to be the end all to my intelligence. For I am above the standard seven-year-old drooling at a stupid spinning device known as a fidget spinner. Rather I have explored the artistic talents of those around me. Gazed upon the finest art and read a fair bit of the Shakespeare.
Regardless, of these credentials I am still stuck away. An outcast of what would be society. Counting the very seconds being taken away and torn apart. For you see my dearest of reader. I am trapped. Both in my mind is this battle to of wits and of that in the physical. As if that it may my current arrangements for shelter are that of a closet. Solitaire confinement a mental battle of not going insane.
How many times can one watch a spider climb up and down and up and down. The nauseating experience of seeing the spider claim to be something more. A life simply fulfilled while my life is forced to watch this spider go about its deeds.
I want to breathe the finest of wines. I want to explore the space and outer limits of our humanity. Here I am stuck among the dark matter a broom to keep me further company. The silence is very overwhelming and if I am to speak aloud I know of the dark fate I will experience. No, my brilliance is confined to the circumference of the very room. This closet is no ordinary closet it is a jail and I am the prisoner.
I do notice that Billy and Timmy do not always get along. Every once in a while, they will attack one another. Friends till the point that which an argument is raised. Outside of this cell the very act of fighting one another could lead to legal litigation and yet these spiders continue to fight. They have no court of law to force them to act just. They are what the natural law dictates and the unnatural law is the cruelty we perpetuate to us humans in the form of finding justice. I see no justice here in this jail and yet my judge and executioner would believe otherwise. For every minute, I spend in this god forsaken closet is another minute I could have been expanding the potential of my ideas and discovering a truth hidden amongst all of us. No, my truth is that of the story of Billy and Timmy.
So, what brought upon this fate. Well, I was playing with the most joyous of toys one that expands my idea of spacial awareness and allows my creativity to expand to new levels! A toy that was designed with simplicity in mind, but allows for endless possibilities. I am talking about the Legos! With the level of difficulty that comes with trying to assemble such complex devices that which the world will admire. No, my mom in her most meaningless rage stepped upon a fragmented piece from the greater design. Her foot not indicating to me that she was harmed in such a way that warranted my arrest and detainment. Her yell of pain was quite savage and broke my Zen of accomplishment. Pulled by the left ear and locked away with my two acquaintances Billy and Timmy.
The very breath surrounding me. The air heating up. My fate was sealed behind wood and paint. I could cry, but who would hear me. I could laugh manically, but whom would care. I am a loner trapped to the very insanity that is my mind.
A breach of light I can feel the rush of air around me. Can it be? Yes, it is!!! Freedom at its absolute standards. I smell the glorious smell of fresh baked cookies. And in the darkness, I can see the two protruding eyes looking at me with a rather approving look.
βAlright honey did you learn your lesson no more Legos on the ground, okay?β
βYes, mommy I was a bad boy and will clean them up.β
βGood, there are fresh baked cookies go at them!β
With a crunch only seen by the most vicious of creatures. I slammed with teeth pounding fury into the chocolate haven. Today, although a grim start turned into a phenomenal day of growth for myself. Tomorrow I shall embolden the world!
