from the ceiling and landed in Emma's eyes. She rubbed her eyes. When the dust was out of her eyes and walked slowly down another block of stairs. She could still hear the pounding.
When Emma got to the bottom of the stairs and walked around the corner. She stood frozen. The last time she frozed like this was when she saw the mirror, without any cracks. This time she wasn't standing frozen because she saw something missing. She was standing frozen because she saw a young chained to the wall, with cuts all over his naked body. That naked body belonged to...to Marcus.
Emma ran to Marcus. Marcus lifted his head and saw Emma looking at him, crying. Marcus tryed to smile and said, "Baby, everything is going to be okay. Don't worry about me. Just get out of here before he comes back."
Emma said, "Who did this to you?"
Marcus looked passed Emma and frown. He pointed to a dark figure and said, "Him."
Emma turned around slowly and saw the dark figure looking at her. Emma said, "Father, stop this! Look at what you are doing! Please, stop. I will do anything, just don't kill my boyfriend!"
Emma's father said, "I will stop, if you become my wife."
Chapter 12 * Emma's Story
Emma frowned and said, "What...you can't...that is just...wrong!" Emma's father held his bloody knife up and walked passed Emma and stood in front of Marcus. Emma whispered, "I am sorry, Marcus."
She ran up the stairs. Her father looked into Marcus's poor blood-shot eyes and said, "Bye bye." He stabbed his knife into Marcus's chest. The knife went right into his heart. Marcus screamed as loud as he could.
Emma heard the screaming of her boyfriend, which made her cry more. Her arrival at this new apartment is beginning to turn into a nightmare that she felt that she would never wake up from.
She ran passed the wall of pictures, up another block f stairs, and into the closet. She ran out of the closet and looked back. All she saw was her wall. The closet was gone. And so was her beloved boyfriend, Marcus. She ran out of her room, pass the bathroom, further and further down the hallway, until she came to the door that led her out of her apartment room.
She walked out her apartment room and fell on her knees. She yelled for help, but no one came to help her. The lights went out. Emma's heart stopped. She lost her breathe. She lost feeling in her body. She fell in the gorund. Her head banged against the hard floor. Her eyes closed.
She was floating through a bright tunnel. When she got to the end of this tunnel, she saw her mom waiting for her. Her mom said, "You can't give up. Emma, you have to kill that bastard so the curse would be broken."
Emma said, "What curse?"
Emma's mom smiled and said, "You saw the pictures. You saw him vanish in thin air. And still don't get it?"
Emma said, "No."
Her mom said, "He's a ghost. He isn't real. You can't make the same mistake as I did."
Emma said, "What do you mean?"
Her mom said, "In the beginning, when I first met this man, he seemed nice. He fell in love with my mom. One night, he killed my mom and went after me. I ran and hid, but he always knew where I was. I gave up and married him. He then killed me and went after you. It's a pattern. Everything is a pattern these days."
Emma said, "How do I break the curse?"
Her mom said, "You have to...to break the pattern."
Emma said, "How am I supposed to do that?"
Her mom said, "You have to kill...kill yourself."
Emma woke up and saw that she was back in the hallway, on the floor. She stood up and looked at the end of the hall. Her father was there watching her. "Come here big boy. I want to lick you all over." She didn't mean any of this nonsense. She was trying to make her father come to her so she could take his knife and kill herself, so that the curse would be broken. If I was there at the moment I would tell her that was a stupid thing to do. You will find out, soon.
Her father smiled and grabbed himself. He started walking toward Emma. He bent over and kissed Emma on the lips. His eyes were closed, her eyes weren't. She reached to her father's pocket and gently pulled out the knife. She stabbed herself in the belly. Blood came out of her mouth. Her father backed up and wiped the blood off of his lips. Emma fell to the ground and finally died.
Her father looked at her and said, "You tricky little girl. You thought that you would break the curse. The only way to break the curse is to put the golden key into the silver chest." He laughed and disappeared, leaving Emma laying on the floor, with no breathe, nor no feeling, nor no soul.
Chapter 13 * Sally's Story
A woman said, "There is something wrong with this town. A few years ago, we discovered a woman's body. A year after that, we found a young boy's body and a young girl's body in an apartment."
A man said, "Sally, it has been two years since...you know what I am talking about."
Sally asked, "Yes, but Bart, do you think that person that killed those people will ever...you know...come back?"
Bart frowned and said, "I don't know. No one has ever talked about him nor seen him since...that night."
Sally asked, "Would you know where his house is?"
Bart said, "His house got removed, when the family moved out."
Sally said, "Okay, thank you so much for your information. I am a police officer for the Hyno Town Police Apartment. I am going to that apartment where we found those two bodies that belonged to those kids."
Bart said, "Can I come with you?"
Sally said, "Of course." They started to walked down the road. The stopped in front of a big building. It was the apartment, where Emma and Marcus died. Sally said, "This place looks like it's a new building. Have you removed the apartment, too?"
Bart said, "I didn't tell anyone to remove it. I can't remember." They walked up the stairs. They opened the door and looked inside. They saw spider webs here, there, everywhere. "I told you that I didn't remove it."
Sally looked at him and yelled, "OKAY!"
Bart put up his hands and said, "I didn't mean to upset you."
Sally looked around the enormious room and said, "That's what I thought. You fat pig."
Bart looked at his belly and then at her. "I am not fat. I am as skinny as a stickbug."
Sally walked over to a silver sink. She turned on cold water. Fresh clean water came out, but five seconds later, the clean fresh water turned red. Sally said, "Bloody water? How interesting. At least we aren't dealing with Bloody Mary." The lights flickered. The water turned off.
Bart said, "Bloody Mary? Who is that?" The lights flickered again.
Sally said, "I don't think a HUMAN killed those people."
Bart said, "If it wasn't a human, then was it an animal?"
Sally said, "No."
Bart asked, "Then what in the hell killed those people?"
Sally said, "From the enviorment that is surounding us, I think it was something paranormal."
Bart asked, "Paranormal? So, we are dealing with a ghost of some sort?"
Sally said, "Yes."
Bart said, "I hate ghosts! My cousin got killed by one. In this world. In this state. In this county. In this town. In this apartment."
Sally said, "You could have just said your cousin got killed by a ghost in this apartment. See how easy that was?"
Bart said, "Yes, I see how easy it is."
Sally's eyes got widder and asked, "What was your cousin's name? You know...your cousin that died."
Bart said, "Her name was Emma."
Sally said, "Was she one of the bodies that we found?"
Bart sadly said, "Yes. Wait...how did you know that we are dealing with something paranormal?"
Sally said, "Each time that we said "Bloody Mary" the lights flickered." The lights flickered once again.
Bart said, "Was Bloody M. a ghost?"
Sally said, "Well, along time ago, King Henry the eighth, married a woman. She got pregnant and had a baby girl. Her name was Mary. Henry didn't like his wife because she didn't have a boy. He wanted a boy, so that boy would be king. Henry was catholic, so he couldn't dump his wife. He killed her. He then had another wife. She got pregnant and had four baby girls. Henry killed that wife and then found a new one."
Bart said, "Wow, I sure wish that I was him. He was like a friggin pimp dude!"
Sally said, "Don't call me a dude. Anyways, Henry's new wife didn't get pregnant, so he killed her. The next month, he found a new wife. He thought she was as pretty as a rose bush. He wanted to keep her. She got pregnant and had a boy. His name was James the first. Five years after James's birth, King Henry died. James became king. One day, he died. People say that he died in a river."
Bart said, "How do you know so much about this?"
Sally said, "I pay attention in history class, unlike SOMEBODY here."
Bart said, "Okay, move on with your story."
Sally said, "After James died. Mary became queen. She killed over two hundred people. She didn't really like James and James didn't really like her. Anyways, that is how she got her nickname."
Bart said, "So, this ghost thing is really a queen?"
Sally said, "No. This ghost isn't Mary. Usually when you say Mary's name, the ground would shake. Did that happen? Of course not. The lights only flickered."
Bart said, "So, who is this ghost?"
Sally smiled and said, "Someone that doesn't like Mary. Someone that was born after she was. Someone that died before she did. Someone that was her sibling."
Bart yelled, "Who! Please, tell me who!"
Sally whispered, "James."
Sally turned around and saw a dark figure looking at her. Bart whispered, "What is that?"
Sally walked slowly toward the dark figure. She said, "James, I know you don't like your sister, but you have to stop killing all of these people."
James said, "All I wanted was to be like my father."
Sally said, "He only killed those women because he couldn't dump them. You can get married and dump them. There is no point in killing anyone."
James stepped out of the shadow and said, "Stay out of my business, or I may just as well kill you."
Bart said, "It has been a long day. We are going home right now."
Sally looked at Bart and said, "No, we're not."
James pulled out a bloody knife from his pocket. He held it up. Bart said, "What do we do, now?"
Sally smiled and said, "We break the curse."
Bart looked at Sally and said, "What curse? Are you on crack again?"
Sally looked at Bard and frowned. "I never did crack. I will never do crack."
Bart yelled, "Then, what are you talking about!"
Sally said, "In one of
