"Yea." Then there was a black flash. I looked at Autumn. She was driving away in her white van. I started running toward her until I fell.
I opened my eyes and seen that same reflection in the window. Why did Autumn have to leave? I am still clueless. I closed my eyes again and remembered the night under my tree that I call, the Lucky Tree. I put my arms around her and she smiled. She looked at me and cried. She said, "My mother and father are moving away to Maine."
I looked at her and said, "It's going to be okay. I will always be here." I pointed to her heart. She smiled and put her head against my chest. I looked up at the tree branches and said, "I wish we will see each other again." The tree branches danced in the wind. The clear dark sky became filled with clouds. I looked down at Autumn. She looked up at me and smiled. I wished that moment lasted for a long time, but it didn't. She faded away along with the Lucky Tree. I opened my eyes and stared at the white fluffy clouds.
If you got confused about the visions, well I will explain the whole story. When I moved to Carmichaels, I met this girl named Autumn. We had so much in common. She had green eyes, so did I. She laughed at all of my jokes. She was everything I wanted in a girl. We went to school together. We ate lunch at the same table. We looked at each other the same way."
Chapter 21 * Mat's Story
"5 years later, I finally made my move. I asked her out and you wouldn't believe what she said! She said yes! I smiled and she smiled. For our first date we went to the movies. We watched Eat, Pray, Love. We shared a bag of buttered pop corn. Six months later we kissed at the lake. That's when we had our first kiss. The next day we were under the Lucky Tree. That's where she told me she was moving to Maine. The next day I was alone staring at my refection in the window. That's when I had the visions about Autumn leaving. She just got in her white van and disappeared up the road.
I sat down in front of my computer and went to my facebook account. I searched her name. I picked on her account and I was looking at her pictures. There was none of me. I was looking and looking for at least one picture of us together. Then when I got to the last picture, there it was. A picture of us kissing in front of the lake. The Lucky Tree was in the back ground. I stared at that one picture for two hours straight. Suddenly my mom walked in. Her name is Brooke Jones, but people call her Rose because she loves to pick roses, well she lovedto pick roses until her husband, my father, died. His name was Travis Gopler.
I lost Autumn and she lost Travis. Anyways, my mom walked in and said, "Is that Autumn?"
I smiled and said, "Yea." My mom got closer to me and put her hand on my shoulder.
She said, "I feel your pain." She bent down and kissed me on my check. Her kiss felt warm, just like Autumn's skin. I could here my heart go faster. I closed my eyes and remembered Autumn kissing me. Then I opened my eyes and a tear came out. It run down my nose and fell on my leg.
When my mom left the room, I sent Autumn a friends request. I walked over to the window and once again, I stared at my reflection.
I said, "Who are you? Why did you just let Autumn go? Why in the hell did you break my heart?!" I started crying.
I closed my eyes and pictured Autumn in a house on fire. No one was going in to save her. I was staring at the flames and smoke. I ran inside the house. Some ceiling boards on fire fell in front of me.
I heard Autumn screaming. I jumped over the flaming boards and climbed up the stairs. I came to a dark hallway filled with smoke. I covered my nose and followed the sound of Autumn's voice. I came upon a door. When I opened it, I saw Autumn and a man in a black mask.
The man in the black mask looked at me and said, "Sssssay your goodbyessss." The man in the black mask pushed Autumn out of the window. I jumped out after her, then I opened my eyes. I realized that I just jumped out of my bedroom window. I was falling closer and closer to the ground.
The man in the black mask said, "Thisssss isssss what you get for trying to get her back! You don't belong with her! Her ssssssoul will be mine!"
An hour later, my mom was picking stawberries in our yard, until she saw me on the ground. That day was painful. I broke my left arm, and broke my neck. My mom dropped the stawberries she was holding and ran to the phone. She called for help. They were too late, I was gone. Was I really dead? If I was then how am I telling you my story? It's a mystery.
When I opened my eyes, I was in a small blue room filled with pictures. I looked to my left and saw my mom talking to the doctor. I couldn't hear what they were saying, but it must have been bad news because my mother was covering her mouth with her hands, crying.
I closed my eyes and remembered my first day of school. I woke up and got dressed. I walked outside. It was cold. It was foggy.
I walked down to the bus stop. Suddenly I saw the bus coming down the road. It stopped in front of me. The side doors opened. I walked onto the bus. I seen many strangers looking up at me. I sat in the first seat. A girl that was sitting behind me climbed over the seat and sat beside me. "Hello, my name is Justina."
I looked at her and said, "Hi, I'm Mat. This is my first day of school."
Justina laughed and said, "Me too!"
Suddenly a boy with long black hair walked in front of me and picked me up and yelled, "What in the hell do you think you are doing, with my girl friend?!"
I said, "She just sat beside me. I didn't do anything to her. I swear!"
The boy said, "If I see you lay a finger on her, your head will be cut into slices then I will feed them to my dog, Roger! Anyways I'm Mark."
When Mark went back to his seat in the back of the bus, I said, "That was scary!"
Justina frowned, "He isn't really my boy friend, he is like my stalker. I see him outside my window everytime I look out of it. It is really scary. It's like he wants me to be his forever."
I said, "Why don't you call the police?"
Justina looked out of the bus window and said, "I am scared of the poilce. They killed my father when I was three years old. Ever since then they have been tracking me down."
I said, "I will call them, if you don't. I do not want you, or anyone, to have a stalker."
Suddenly the bus came to a stop. We were at school.
I opened my eyes and I saw my mom on her knees pounding on the wall. Tears fell from her eyes. I reached out with my hand and said in a poor and quiet whisper, "Mom!" I looked at my hand, I could barely see it. I sat up and got off of the hospital bed. I turned around and looked at a boy in my hospital bed. It was my body.
I screamed and fell to the ground. I stood up and punched the wall. The lights turned off. The window exploded. My mom stood up and looked in the dark room. She ran to the door. When she opened the door, the lights came on. I looked at her. I never seen her so upset. She ran to my body and held my hand."
Chapter 22 * Mat's Story
"She said, "Mat, I know your still in here. I am sorry for being a bad mother. I should have never let you go to that stupid school! That's where you met Autumn. I should have never taken you to England. That's where you found Transtrex. I should have never sent you to Mexico. That's where you fought Firtrex. I should have never sent you to that island where you met Natasha, Wesley, Duane, Jonra, and Moe. I should have stuck beside you. The doctor said you are dead, but I can't let you go!"
I couldn't believe my ears, but my mom was right. I shouldn't have started that school. I shouldn't have went to England. I should have just stayed home, where I knew I was protected. I ran out of the hospital. I looked up into the cloudy sky. I yelled, "Please, Lord, give me another chance! I didn't do anything wrong and you know it!" It started to rain. The wind blow harder and harder. The white clouds turned black. I closed my eyes and remembered the girl that started all of this. I then sadly said,
"Autumn, where are you?"
Suddenly I opened my eyes and saw Autumn's car going down the road. I smiled and ran after her. I jumped onto her car. I looked in the window and saw Autumn. She was talking to her dad and laughing. Then she turned her head and stared out of her window. She sighed and put her hand against the window.
I smiled and said, "I miss you, too." She looked forward. I stared in her eyes. My heart started to pump faster.
Suddenly I saw the man in the black mask in the back seat.
He looked at me and said, "Why don't you leave her alone? Ssssssshe is mine!"
I said, "I am done playing with you. I am going to kill you and make Autumn live in peace!"
He laughed and said, "I am already dead, you moron! By the way, there is a big surprise waiting for you." Suddenly the man in the black mask disappeared. I looked back at Autumn and saw her crying. I whispered, "Autumn, are you hiding something from me?"
Autumn looked at me and said, "Yes."
I opened my eyes and noticed I was in my bed. It was all just a nightmare. I got up and went down stairs. I saw my mom talking on the telephone. I said, "Mom, who is on the phone?"
She didn't reply. She didn't even look at me. Something was wrong. I ran up stairs to my window. It was broken. I ran down stairs and stared at my mom.
She said, "Yea,
I opened my eyes and seen that same reflection in the window. Why did Autumn have to leave? I am still clueless.
