When a man feels isolated from, cast out by, his family he needs to go off on a journey of soul-searchiing. Are his feelings of isolation real, or his imagination? Can it be possible that, to some extent, he bears some of the responsibility for the wall that seems to have developed between him and the people he loves most in the world?
Someone is murdering supernatural beings, and it's up to Reese and his family to solve the mysterious deaths and find out why they are being targeted.

Freya wakes up with no memories. Jouru wakes up with all his memories, especially of Freya. One memory haunts him particularly. How he let Freya go alone and how he should've followed her. To what though, he's forgotten. Freya follows Jouru outside and meets his Lilla Sykon, Kai, and learn of her missing 4 Lilla Sykon. As Jouru guides Freya to her memories, she remembers him and is brought back to who she is.
