Zormna's month of removal from the Surface Patrol of Arras has been hard for her as she has been forced to work three jobs from morning to night. The work has been strenuous and humiliating. Jerry is a simple city dweller who enlists in the military and finds himself in a land he has never dreamed of ever going.
