We was hot. Jimmy wanted to take some bottles we'd scrounged up outta' the trash cans in the alley up to Mrs. Rashure's little store on the corner. All we wanted to do was cash 'em in and get a cold Coke. But no...who was standin' on the front porch of the store but the president and vice-president of The Skulls. There was gonna' be a fight, I just knew it, and we was gonna' lose.
I bared teeth at the grey wolf that was standing in front of me, and he did the same. We were ready to fight. I was part of the White Wolves clan. Nobody was going to stop me. I was strong. I was ready.
We howl alone, we call as one. We call as family, we howl as pack.
The crystal ball of fortune is a metaphor. Fortune / Happiness will never come of nothing. I always believe if we want to have it, first of all, we had to give, strive for and fight for. The regret is most people just want it for free. Please remember there is no free lunch in the world.
