20th May 2006

I screamed as the wolf slammed itself into the wall next to me, almost crushing the left half of my body. I cowered further back in the room as it looked at me, its red eyes glowing as it watched me, licking its bloodstained teeth. I knew there was no point screaming, but I did it anyway. Anyone who would have heard me was dead, lying in pools of their own blood while this monster toyed with me, playing games with the only other thing still alive in this ghostly town. Everyone was dead; Everyone but me.

I scrambled forward grabbing the closest potential weapon I could see, a jagged piece of the wooden doorway which had been destroyed when the wolf came barrelling through the door. It was the length of my forearm but it would have to do. Without thinking, I launched the piece of wood at the wolf with as much power as my ten year old body would allow me to. Without waiting to see if I’s hit the beast or not, I ran as fast as my battered body could, through the hall, down the stairs and out the door.

I refused to look around me as I ran. I didn’t want to see everyone’s unmoving, lifeless bodies laying where a few hours before we had been celebrating, celebrating life in its newest form. I couldn’t look back. I wouldn’t.

The only thought than ran through my mind was that I would get revenge and I would never, ever befriend a werewolf again. I had made the mistake of trusting one before; I wouldn’t make the same mistake again. No, not that I now knew what they were. They were all blood thirsty, violent monsters.

Chapter 1 - 23/06/11

I grinned as the wolf’s claws missed my arm by inches, throwing it of balance. The 150 pound wolf crashed into the earth next to me spraying leaves into the air. Satisfaction ran through me when I noticed the confusion in the wolf’s eyes. It wasn’t expecting me to be that quick, they never were. Rule 1 flew through my mind. NEVER underestimate the enemy. I’ve had the unfortunate experience of making the mistake before, and I had the scares to prove it.

I plunged the knife deep into the beast’s chest, sighing when the deep red blood seeped onto my new shirt. I hope it doesn’t stain, this shirt was expensive. I knew I should have chosen the black or red one instead of the white. They last a lot longer.
Claps filled the silent wood as James stalked towards me closely followed by Tom. “Well done puţin războinic, your improving.”

I waited silently for him to carry on, not breaking eye contact. If he wanted me to speak I would. One thing I learnt about James very quickly was not to annoy him. He was 100 times more deadly than the wolves and both of us knew it. If it wasn’t for the fact that I owed him my life I wouldn’t have stuck around him this long. That, and the fact i’d grown a strong unusual friendship with his brother.

I supressed the urge to jump when Tom appeared behind me without so much of a warning. This was he style, his way of doing things. He always wanted to be one step ahead, to be the one in control. That was fine by me. “Is that your new shirt?” I could just imagine the amusement dancing in his dark eyes. He knew how do get a rise out of me and he loved it. “Did I not tell you to buy the black one; it suited you better and was more …. Practical,”

I stuck my tongue out at him “You’re just jealous I can pull it off while you can’t. wild hair, blood-stained shirt and I still look better than you!”

His laughter rang through the wood like bells before he quickly sobered up. “I’m going to miss you mea puţin războinic,” I sighed I’d miss him to. No matter how many times I denied it to him, I liked the arrogant vampire, just not his brother.

"puţin războinic, as much as i love the emotional exchange going on here i have to break it up, you've got a plane to catch and i REALLY don't want you to miss it so ...." i suppressed the urge to glare at him as he stalked towards me and gave me the 'get the hell off the floor' look. " typical, now you've got to get dressed again, i'm not going to be the one to explain to everyone on the plane why your covered in bood and smell like a cats arse.

"Calma frate, she didn't do anything to you." Tom possesivly clamped his hand down on my shoulder. i often wondered why james saved me when he could have just left me to die, i think he often wondered why as well.

"I can talk to her how ever the hell i want to brother, don't forget who's mai puternic." I sighed and started walking back to the house, their arguements could last forever.

Chapter 2 - 24/06/11

Smiling, I swept my now fiery red hair out of my face as the cold English rain and wind whipped at it. Even though the small island had the wettest summers and coldest winters ever it was still my favourite place to be. I sighed in content as I walked towards my brand new Lamborghini , drinking in and enjoying all the attention it drew to me. “Hey babe, you want me to show you another good ride?” a drunk middle aged man slurred at me leaning against one of the airports many ‘No Smoking’ signs. Chuckling, I got into my car and sped away.

I drummed my fingers along the dashboard as jay-z’s Paris came on the radio. I loved this song. It was 3 ½ hours since I set off and there was only about 1 ½ hours until I got to my new house and all that had been played was lady gaga, Ed Sheran and cold play, not my favourite artists. I sung along quietly as i reached the borders of the woods I would be staying in the middle of. I usually loved the isolation living in the woods could give me but this time I was dreading it. I knew who my new neighbours would be and I wasn’t happy about it.

Unfortunately, there were rules in the supernatural world; rules I had to follow. The SSC (superior supernatural council) knew about me and my hatred towards one particular super natural species and the reasons I had for the hatred and had come to one conclusion. I could keep on killing them if I followed 5 simple rules;

1. I must not kill any being who is in a pack who is not
threatening me as he/she is classed as ‘civilised’

2. I must dispose of any bodies quickly and efficiently

3. I must not knowingly enter a packs territory without permission

4. I am not to kill wolves who are un-shifted (under 13 years old)

5. I must follow any order the council give me, no matter how reluctant I am.

If I ever break on of the rules purposefully I will be given a class 1 punishment. I will be killed. At the current moment of time I was following rule 5. The council had ordered me move here to help exterminate some rouges that had been threatening the local population. A local population that consisted of only ‘civilised’ wolves. The same wolves who’s territory I was currently on and would be living with for the next few months.
