Behind all your stories is always your mother's story. Because hers is where yours begin. A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts. Today I am writing my mother from inside a body that used to be hers.
How can there be pain in a place where there is so much joy? A loving relationship is the most awesome experience in the world. This is why it also holds the potential for so much sadness. There are so many things that can go wrong. We must remember, "Better to have loved and lost than not to have loved at all." If we have this attitude we can hold ourselves together during the hard times and rejoice that we have this awesome gift during the good times.
Iβm not the silly romantic person as you think. I donβt want the heavens or the shooting stars. I donβt want gemstones or gold. I have those things already. I want a steady hand. A kind soul. I want to fall asleep, and wake, knowing my heart is safe. I want to love, and be loved.
