Sam looked at her and then rubbed his head. "Hey, maybe we could go out there together." Mary said before Sam looked at her shocked. "What, seriously? I'd love to. Let me get some more sleep." Sam said before he started to fall. Mary instantly got up and then ran to Sam. She grabbed Sam and lifted him up and then walked to his room. "You really do depend on me." Mary said as she laid Sam onto his bed.
Mary smiled as she looked at Sam. "Good night, you silly man." Mary said before she left his room and then layed back on her bed. Mary looked out onto the city as she watched memories flash into her mind. "I remember when my school got infected. I was the only survivor." Mary said as she closed her eyes. Mary wanted to see if there is any babies out there that was still alive and abandoned. "Even though I hope not, I wish that there was a baby out there. That needs my help." Mary said quietly before the sun started to rising. Sam woke up and sat up and then started to stretch. "Good morning, better be ready soon." Sam said as he peaked his head in her room. Mary stood up and then rubbed her head. "Yeah, give me a minute. Please, I'll be out soon." Mary said before Sam nodded and then turned around and left. Sam went and made coffee as Mary changed out of her pajamas. "I guess I'll give being human another shot." Mary said to herself before she went to Sam. "Hello, little snail." Sam said mockingly as Mary sarcastically laughed at him. "Morning, smart ass." Mary said before going and sitting down at the dining table. "Before we go, I would like to talk to you." Mary said as Sam gave her a cup ofcoffee. "Sure, what's up?" Sam asked as she walked into the kitchen to start breakfast.
"I've thought about it. And I want to be human again." Mary said before Sam looked at her. Sam smiled as he knew that he could get his laboratory. "Well, today. I will need to some stuff." Sam said before giving Mary her plate of food. Mary nodded as she waited for Sam to sit so they could eat together. "You know that you don't have to wait for me." Sam said as he cooked his food. "Yeah, but I don't want to be mean." Mary said before Sam smiled while he shook his head. "You, my dear. Are one weird person." Sam said as he sat down before they both started to eat.
They both sat in silence as they ate. "Maybe we will meet some survivors. What do you think?" Sam said as he looked up at her. Mary shrugged her shoulders as she knew different. Mary wanted to tell Sam that when she becomes human again, that they are gonna be the only two humans left. "I hope we find a baby. I always wanted to save a little baby." Mary said as she looked outside. "Well, let's hope. Oh I gotta get my cart. Grab everything that you need." Sam said as he stood up and turned around. While Sam walked away, Mary grabbed the plates and then went to wash them before going to her room. "Ok. Now time to get ready." Mary said as she grabbed her bag and her wagon. "Hello. Are you ready?" Sam had asked her as he pushed his cart before Mary went to him. "Yeah. I am ready." Mary said before Sam smiled at her. Sam turned his cart and then walked to the front door. "I am starting to have an idea." Sam said as they went downstairs. "What's the idea?" Mary asked as she followed while looking at Sam. "Well, I am working on a elevator for the both of us on the roof. After I get that done, we could turn this area into our own little slide." Sam explained before Mary smiled at him.
"That's a great idea." Mary said as they walked into the lobby. "Thank you." Sam said as they walked to the door. "Your so very welcome." Mary said before they both walked out of the building.

Mary and Sam walked around as Sam started to grab the tools and equipment that he needs. "So, why do you wanna be human?" Sam asked as they kept walking. "I just miss being human." Mary said before Sam nodded at her. "I understand, I will try my best." Sam said as they walked into a empty house. Sam and Mary looked around as Sam headed to the basement. Mary went to the kitchen and then started to grab plates and silverware.

"Do not move." A gruff voice growled as Mary turned around. She turned around and seen an older man holding a shot gun pointed to her. "Your not gonna hurt me." Mary said before the man chuckled. "And I ain't gonna let you steal my shit." The man said before Mary walked to him. "What's your name?" Mary asked the pointed the shot gun to her head. "Now, missy. I don't like burglars." The man said before Mary smiled. "Exactly. I dare you to pull the trigger." Mary said before the man shot and looked at Mary terrified as the bullet went through her. "See? I didn't feel a thing. Even if you did destroyed the cupboard." Mary said while she looked at the cupboard. The man shook his head. "You and my eyes are playing a trick on me." The man said before she got closer to him. "Me and my friend ais converting a office building into an apartment building. Come with us." Mary explained before the man shook his head. "No, I don't believe you." The man said as he took a step back.

He put the barrel of the gun in his mouth and then pulled the trigger. "Oh my God." Mary said when she watched the man's lifeless body. Sam walked up the stairs and seen the body on the ground. "Oh fuck. What happened?" Sam asked as Mary turned around to continue collecting. "The house owner discovered me and then tried to shoot me but then went insane and killed himself." Mary explained as she grabbed the plates that wasn't destroyed.

"Well, you seen sad for him." Sam said as Mary looked at him. "I don't know how to feel. I didn't tell him to calm down. Though I don't think he would listen to me anyway." Mary said before Sam nodded." Don't worry. I get it. Are you sure you want to be human again?" Sam asked before Mary nodded and then Sam turned. Mary and Sam stayed quiet as they searched the house. "Hey, Mary! Would you want a welding kit?" Sam asked as he went to her. "Oh yeah. Do you want to put it in my wagon?" Mary asked before Sam nodded and then put it in her wagon. He knew that they both would need the kit in the future. "Did you find anything good?" Sam asked before he looked at her. Mary shook her head before leaving and then walked into a room. "Um, Sam? We might need to take a second trip." Mary said before Sam went to her. "Oh damn!" Sam said as he looked at all the home gym equipment. Sam went and grabbed his cart before going back to the home gym. "Would you like some help?" Mary asked as Sam started to fill his cart. "No I'm good." Sam told Mary as he filled his cart.

Mary smiled as she watched Sam feel really happy. "Well, I'll look around. Come get me if you need me." Mary said before she walked away. Sam nodded a he looked around and started to grab more stuff. "I miss seeing him like that." Mary said while grabbing her wagon and then walking outside and walked out. "I should look for a heater." Mary said as she walked to the next empty house. Mary looked inside after opening the door and put her head in. "Hello? Anyone here?" Mary asked while looking around. Mary sighed as she walked in and then went throughout the rooms.

"Wow. I always wanted to see this." Mary said as she looked at a full set of a favorite show of hers. Mary placed the show in her almost full wagon as Sam headed to the building. "Maybe we should turn the building into our very own mansion." Mary said as she smiled while holding a teddy bear. "I'm here to rescue you." Mary said before placing the bear in her wagon. She grabbed the handle and started walking back.

Sam walked back to the house after clearing his cart with a huge smile on his face.

"I'm having ideas for a therapy room." Sam said as he started to load up the rest of the equipment. Mary walked back to the building after grabbing a box of trash bags. "I might grow a garden." Mary said as she kept walking. She looked at the human and then found something weird. "I'll need to have to tell the managers." Mary said as she entered the lobby. "We know. We were waiting for you to come back. We need to have a meeting." A man said as Mary looked at him shocked. "Oh um, yes sir. Let's go to my apartment." Mary said before they started walking. The man looked at her as they both stayed quiet. "So who is that man?" He said as they walked up the stairs before Mary looked at him.

"He is my house mate. And my best friend when I was alive." Mary said as they walked into the apartment. "So what's with the new baby section of the information?" Mary asked feeling awkward as she never seen her boss. "We just discovered a human baby. We need you to take care of her and then we'll recruit her." He said before he gave her a basket. Mary mumbled before she grabbed the basket and put it down. "You shall name her and take care of her. Do not fall in love with her." The man said before he walked to the front door. "But sir!" Mary exclaimed as she walked to him. "I know that you can do this. Do not disappoint me." The man said before Mary nodded. She
