Introduction, the Journey begins.

This is a book about veganism and animal rights.

Thanks for joining me, this is not an easy path but only if you do not consider the victims of your

choices. If you do, no hurdles will prevent you from becoming their human voice.

I am your obnoxious vegan, the one you find at the door of slaughterhouses with a poster saying โ€œHelpโ€

featuring a cow about to be murdered. I am your obnoxious vegan, the one who will give you

the Book of veganism at the slightest smirk, the most โ€œinnocentโ€ jokes ( โ€œyummyโ€, โ€œhmm, baconโ€).

I am your obnoxious vegan, the one who will tell you about the cows and pigs cramped on trucks

on their way to slaughter.

I am obnoxious, loud, arrogant and indifferent to your excuses about not being to ditch cheese

and the Sunday barbecue. You know what? The victims on the trucks fill the pens

awaiting slaughter, they have been sent there by perfectly nice people, pillars of the industry

and society. The victims have no time left for your jokes and your indifference, your health

and/or your refusal to go vegan. The victims await murder, innocents treated worse than

the worst of criminals just because you believe you are a lion and therefore need to munch on corpses.

I am your obnoxious animal rights activist, the vegan freak. Non-human animals have ways

of expressing themselves but humans have chosen to ignore them. I am here to be their human voice.

Why vegan?

     Why vegan?

Why would anyone turn vegan?

Why would anyone turn into a freak

showing up at a family gathering

with a Tupperware bowl carrying hummus

or some salad or some other suspicious food?

Why?

Well, why not?

Happy Easter.

Happy Easter ...for whom? Certainly not for the animals on your plate.

Consider going vegan.

Before a vigil.

Before a vigil

.

To go to a vigil is quite painful. Still, it is more painful for those on the trucks, heading for slaughter,

after being used and exploited all their lives.

Animal welfare.

Animal Welfare.

Humans have invented the concept of โ€œanimal welfareโ€ to disguise the fact non-human animals are used and exploited mercilessly.

โ€œAs long as they are well treatedโ€ โ€ฆyes, sure. Cows are led off the trucks with kisses and calves removed

from their mothers with hugs. Get real, please.

No one can enjoy being raped, exploited and murdered. No one can rape, exploit and murder in a โ€œhumane, sweet way.โ€

H

What did they do?

Ask yourself what they did to deserve this and you will find nothing.

As a species, we have betrayed the purest beings on Earth.

Lethal excuses.

Lethal excuses.

" I find it so difficult to stop eating cheeseโ€, โ€œI need proteinโ€, โ€œI only eat free-range eggsโ€,

โ€œWe eat meat once in a whileโ€โ€ฆI hear these things almost every day.

And you know something? They are just excuses!

"Your" cheese has caused the use and exploitation of cows, plus the separation from her babies,

you have other sources of protein, they only have their lives and miserable at that thanks to "your" choices.

โ€œyour free-range eggsโ€ condemn millions of hens to confinement where they trample on one another

and your โ€œeating little meatโ€ still sends cows to slaughter.

Your excuses are lethal, lethal to the innocent.

Why?

Why?

Why kill the innocent, the harmless, separate mothers and babies?

Why kill the babies and force the grieving mothers to be breeding machines?

If this is not the life you would choose for yourself why do you impose it on others?
