It's been said, that a microphone is like a pipe bomb.
In that case, the written word is like a Landmine. Once your eyes
Have glanced upon a word itβs too late. Your mind is now open to me.
You're fragile, as am I at this moment. This is me. Everything you
Are about to read, is me... As of now. This is T.S.Kennedy.
"Hatred"
I clung to what I knew. But I hardly knew
You. It was a fickle feeling, my heart strings pulling
Me close. Questions are getting old, so tell me your name.
Engraved. From the moment I heard in my mind and in my
Heart. So I will hold. Stand alone, Keep my ground.
But itβs hard when your words, so very few. Cause me to quake, knocked me down.
Lord gives me the strength. But Iβve already lost it. Your song is as of a temptress.
But you have nothing to offer. My heart ache is not from love.
But from regret. I regret loving you. But love every minute of it. - T.S.Kennedy
"Give war his voice back"
And if love is here, where is it.
Peace is the fight.
Why don't you get it!
Understand me now as I speak.
Iβm gone, but learn from my words.
Take your guns and aim at each other.
Death is the answer.
But where were we when our loved ones died? Sitting home not even knowing to cry.
Now pull the trigger. If we all just kill our enemy, we have an answer.
War.
We dig your graves. Itβs a pitiful thing. The home you
So arrogantly left, now dust to dust. Bury your bones.
God understands, but itβs so prideful and alone.
So line them up. Soldier to Shoulder. Itβs done.-T.S.Kennedy
"Moons and Suns"
Let the Skyβs open up and the rain fall
Has the rod been spared and our children spoiled
Butterflies and lullabies will make for a good dream.
But life and reality is never as it seems.
Yes,
Protection has its boundries; we always seem to cross them
A cross roads and a crooked deal is the life we live at a cost and
Harmony,
Put an x by the name because the life has been stolen.
A wooden box that some call a coffin
Youβre wide awake but you still see youβre foully
An entry wound but there is no body.
Eternal light for eternal Doubt.
Harmony.
"Stones of Phrases."
He killed a man but they didnβt have the evidence.
So now he walks free. My brother.
Hide your women and Children he walks the path of the dead.
And every now and again is shadow may reach your stead.
But wait! So utterly in confused so abruptly stopped and renewed where he
Drinks is a fountain of youth, the devil walks the Earth.
But Wait. The time has come for the light to shine above.
And may it reach our peaceful little city and cause the earths form to bend and crust.
And now I have found peace. The present is just so full.
Now maybe back in time itβs too late too.
Your parents start the fight bending truth from what were lies
Maybe now you can understand my stones and phrases....
Again.
"Forever in the generalβs eyes."
Underneath the canopy here lies the General and the soldier.
The generalβs wife slept with the man, and the general
Kick him off his land. But the man he wouldn't leave.
For he was love-struck by a temptress scent and he just couldnβt see.
So finally the Generals soft hand left and he smote him with his rod.
Down fell the man with his lifeless body, souls gone to meet with God.
The wife came in and saw the man lying on the carpet.
She screamed and grabbed the nearest gun and killed her loving husband.
For He loved her, But Him her not, for her lovers on the carpet.
For she neither fret nor worry. For this is all her doing. She killed the men,
Those hopeless men. Yes she killed them with her will.
On to the next camp she goes trotting, maybe asking for a ride.
For there, there is an old man waiting with his son, to meet his bride.
The temptress sheets are always warm with the blood of whom she
Kills. So mothers I speak to thee now. Hide your husband and son.
Even a faithful man cannot stray away from her glare. Lord I plea let this town be spared. -T.S.Kennedy
"T.S.Kennedy's reply to The Rimes of an Ancient Mariner"
We are dead men lined up soldier to shoulder.
You thought the curse was lift. Understand us now as we speak
Your ship's headed for the cliffs. You couldn't even pray for us,
Our eyes glistened in the night, we came up from our
Tomb our grave. Improper in his sight. The bright lights that you
See, for that is death himself. He was not coming for us my dear.
But for the ancient Mariner.-T.S.Kennedy
"If there were years"
If there were years that suns don't shine.
Oh, sunflower shine.
If there were months without the moons glow,
.I'd go away and never return. I hope you cry for me.
But I know you probably wouldn't, or even know my face.
I would try and speak
But know I shouldn't.
Finding things to say.
Wasnβt hard but saying them in order and with some common mind.
I lost it either way. And in using it to fuel this fire. If you noticed every word above this is you.
Every single bit of it.
I have to be a man and donβt try and stop me I have to go away.
But this road is really all we've ever know.
Out of my life for the better I hope.
But we'll see in the end. But for now I can cope.
"The growing heart of Peter"
Did you think twice about spewing your lies?
Stars in the night skies.
Scream with glimmers flare.
And May thus night be fair.
You have no need to be scared.
Oh open sky sings lullabies
So you may sleep Tight tonight.
"Two pennies for a copper coin"
I'll sell you my two pennies for your copper coin.
I know I lose one in the mix but the gain of one is none.
I'll reestablish myself in the world with my copper coin and gun.
My words that is, for so few they are of witch I will be known.
My brains I though. But they can be bought and emotions are so full.
And learning the language of the grave is a craft thatβs meant for fools.
So with my copper coin I thought, I could make it in this world.
But copper coins are out of date, in a world that papers all thatβs known.-T.S.Kennedy
"The women and the well"
Women stand at the well.
Almost as long as the well has stood.
When the sun goes down, so does the women.
Her whereabouts are unknown.
As the sun comes up the women shall rise.
And watch the well, waiting to receive her prize.
For the women is Hope. And she is ever-present.
The well he is the keeper.
And as sure as the stars. As sure as the sun.
The well will remain And Women stand strong.
"The Reawakening"
Become alive. As if thou death has escaped ye. Bury your sins in love.-T.S.Kennedy
"Me against myself."
Speak out from my mind, the one thing I control
Is never finding you, letting go of who I was?
I hear the sirens song. I see the waters flow.
My ship heads for the rocks. My head is throbbed
And torn. Stop the voices from coming,
Keep the others out. Itβs me against me now.
I feel I've lost this bout. - T.S.Kennedy.
"The Walking Man"
The parable of a man so far from home, His words are like Glass. Cold, Sharp, Rigid,
He speaks as of a dead man, Short and lingering. This man is a Ghost.
But is as real as you and me. This man is lost. But knows right where he stands.
This man is... Population. A dying breed. With no reservations. He walks.
And slowly slips away... - T.S.Kennedy.
These are all my deepest thoughts. And I thank you for reading with me. And pulling through it all.
Sincerely,
T.S.Kennedy.
