While I was sitting in my first-period class, I was thinking about the fact that I didnโt know my way around this damn school. The curse of being the new student. Especially if you are the daughter of the Devil himself. Yes, my father is Lucifer. Anyways, this is my first time going to a human school. At least I learned how to change my looks, to look human, before I started school here. Mr. Woodlind is still talking but I canโt hear a thing he was saying. Iโm tuning him out while I am thinking. Will this class ever end?
โMs. Claw, would you care to join us?โ he said. It snapped my attention back to class. I was trying to come up with an excuse, but I was saved when the class bell rang. Yes! Now I donโt have to come up with a lie. I thought to myself.
I pushed myself in between students so that he wouldnโt see me leaving class. I didnโt want to be told to stay back so he could talk to me. That would be just what I needed during my first week of school. If only it would have worked.
โMs. Claw, will you please follow me to the office?โ I hear a voice say behind me. Only, when I turn around, it isnโt Mr. Woodlind. It is the principal, Mr. Moon.
โNot really. I have a class that I have to get to but Iโll come to talk to you later. Okay?โ I reply while I start to slowly walk backward in the hall. I still donโt escape. I run into the very rude and cruel Security Guard Makia (mah-ky-uh). He has had something against me since I stepped foot in this school. I donโt know what, I donโt know why, but I know that he does. He grabs me by the back of my neck and drags me to the office with the Principal and Mr. Woodlind trailing behind. When we reach the office, he throws me into the punishment chair- a chair that has a metal frame is bolted to the ground, and it has leather straps to go around the wrists, ankles, and waist- and straps me in. I donโt know what is coming next, and I donโt think I want to know. But I am going to find out anyway.
โDo you know why you are here?โ asks Mr. Moon, once he is seated at his desk.
โBecause I was ignoring Mr. Woodlind and thinking about something else?โ I quietly asked.
โNo.โ
โThen why?โ
โWe know who you are. We know who your father is. And we are going to kill you.โ
โThat is not a very funny joke,โ I said nervously. โSo what is the real reason.โ
โExactly what I said. Ms. Lily Claw. Or should I say, Ms. Lilian Claw Reaper? Daughter of Lucifer Reaper and Lilith Reaper.โ
โI donโt know what you are talking about. My name is Lily Claw. And did you just say the devilโs name or is that someoneโs real name? You know that Iโm an orphan. And I donโt know who my parents are.โ
โWe found your ring, Lily.โ
โLet me go. Please. Iโll be good. Iโll pay attention in class. You wonโt have any more problems with me. Please? Just let me go.โ And it just kept going on and on like that. The whole time, I was wondering how they found out and how they found my ring. And who are they really?

Dedication:
I dedicate this to my close friends and supporters; Sara Book, Evan Bracken, Kristin Myers, Valorie Carbone, and Logan Kaminski. You guys have been there for me through all of my books. To my mother, Samantha Adkins. You have always pushed me to continue my writings and you helped me fix things when I felt like giving up. To my soul mate. I don't know who you are yet, but you are my inspiration and you give me an incentive to keep pushing forward. I hope I meet you soon. To my little brother Zion, who has type two autism. You are amazing in all ways. You help me figure out what to write by just being yourself. I hope that when you grow older, you still have your spark and imagination. Finally, I dedicate this to all of my readers. You have been there through thick and thin and you never sugar coated stuff when telling me what you liked and disliked about my books. You keep me writing so that I can give you something in return. Thank you. I love you all with everything in my heart.
