Genavine Maravell woke up and rubbed her eyes. Now what was today? Oh right! The hatching! The hatching...now wait a minute...that was in four months....dang it.
Genavine sighed. "Better get to class." she though aloud. Genavine dressed in DragonRider Hall official uniform, grabbed her stuff and entered the hall. The smell, as always, was enticing. Lavender today...no...success of being a DragonRider candidate.
Mrs. Tenda, A.K.A. head DragonTeacher, the only other female who tried to become a DragonRider. And succeeded. She she had over 200 Dragon medals. Genavine was following her footsteps and hoped with all her heart to become a female DragonRider.
"Hi Mrs. Tenda. Lot's of training today I hope? The hatching in four months means tons of practice!" said Genavine.
"Hello Avi. Yes, lot's practice? Are you hoping for a gold?" Avi was Genavine's nickname. Genavine nodded slowly and hurried to first class.
Genavine entered the classroom. Mr. Crotophotolight was setting up for learning about every type of dragon. Tomorrow was a test. Genavine knew everything. Red Dragons where the lowest rank. Those who received red would be come messenger or worse, cook. The black dragon, the next rank, was a little better. If you had a black dragon, then you could be a dragonholder. A dragonholder held dragons that where ill or hurt and guarded the school. The next rank was a Bronze. Bronzes where teachers and bunk-watchers. The other rank, one of the best ranks, was silver. Silver where either teachers or co-principles. The final, most important rank, was a gold. Everyone wanted a gold. The gold would get you owning the school, getting medals.
Only one gold per egg group exsisted and most of the time, that gold egg did not hatch. There where two silvers, four bronzes, six black, and seven reds. Oh...but sometimes, if a couple who would lead the Hall. Genavine sighed and snapped back to reality as Mr. C called her name.
"Genavine, stop daydreaming. Hopeful candidates need to be attentive."
Genavine nodded and rolled her eyes. "I already know all of this information Croto." snapped Genavine.
Mr. C clenched his teeth and turned away. Avi could get away with anything.
