They started to shoot, everything went all black and scary at that moment. I flung myself into the front seat, typed in 9-1-1 to my phone. “Hello, why are you calling?” “Come right now, they have guns and they’re shooting!” I was screaming while I was trying to leave and not hit anybody. “Please tell me you’re location. Please calm down as well.” “I’m at a campsite, on the border of Kavalier and Shamanic.” “I’ll send somebody right away.” I continued to drive, slowly. I didn’t want them to notice me.
The guy who muttered to me turned around and saw me with my phone up to my ear, he screamed some disrespectful language to his friend and they came running towards my car. I slammed on the gas pedal. The hoods fell off of them, I got a good look at there faces. They both shot at the same time, one pierced through the back windshield and the other pierced through the passenger seat. They were pretty good shots, what if they hit me. I took a sharp turn and nearly hit the police car. They got one last shot at the car before they saw the police, it hit my side, didn’t go very few into it though.
I would probably be fine, I slowed down and hopped out of the car. I trotted back to where the police car was stopped. It was a full out shooting challenge, the two guys against five police cars. I say cars because some had two people and others had only one person. Three ambulances came up the road, the second one saw me and stopped right next to me. “That could be fatal if we don’t get you in right now.” They wrapped around me and put me on the weird bed thing. I was so confused, the whole area went black in about five minutes. I shouldn’t have gone to this party, is this my punishment for lying to my mother? I heard the workers talking, I didn’t quite understand it, but I heard them saying things about machines and surgery.
JulianneMy sister is in the hospital, she has been there for three days. I’m not worried about her, she’ll be fine. My mother was so worried, upset, and just really emotional. Syl might be dead, or alive, or in really big trouble with mom! There was a shooting at her friend's party, she said that if I had come I would have been dead right now. I don’t think she actually went to Maya’s house because I online chatted with her brother the other day and he said that there was no actual party that his sister had and that she was too sick to go to Sylvia’s party that day. WEIRD! She had to get ten stitches, her appendix taken out because it burst when it was shot through and she has to stay there for another day! She also gets out of school for this whole week and half of next week, lucky and very unlucky her. I wonder if Janus knows anything about it, her brother was there. He must have not known Syl. I wandered my way down towards her house. I stepped up to the door, Janus answered. She looked really fancy today, thats weird.
Her facial expression was filled with fear and disappointment. “Where are you going?” She just lightly pushed me out of the way, rude. “Hi Julie, nice to see you this evening. Our family is going out to an event, maybe you could come too.” At least her father was being nice. I nodded and ran off to change into a fancier outfit like theirs. When I came back, they were both in the car. Her father waved me into the car, I hopped into the back seat right next to Janus. “Where are we going?” “I like your dress, to answer your question, we are going to court. My son has a trial today, for a shooting that he didn’t do.” Her father started to drive very fast, in about three minutes we were at the courtroom.
“It takes my father forty five minutes to get here, how come we got here so fast?” “We are casters, we used my fathers teleportation to get here.” Janus spoke with a growl in her voice, she was angry and irritated. We walked into the court and took our spots next to an older lady. Her father walked back out of the courtroom and you could hear him yelling at her brother from where we were sitting, near the back. The courtroom looked very different than a normal court. “This is different, this is a casters court. My father thinks that I will end up here, especially the way I’ve been acting lately.” Thats why she was upset, her brother might end up to be executed and she might be executed. She was concerned about her family members, I can’t say that about most of my family.
She wasn’t evil on the inside, she was struggling which can turn somebody evil. “Anybody can object, no lawyers are allowed, and there is no judge. There is a set of judges, the royals of casters but only two out of ten of them usually come to a court.” She was being nice. Her father walked back in and sat down next to Janus, he had an extreme scowl on his face. “Hello, today we have the case of Brandon Nikala and Ryan Farcoula. They snuck into a non-caster party and used their magic to conjure guns and shot everything. They also hit a non-caster and may have killed her. Our three royals of casters today are Mikki Sharts, Crystal Mcgunnigal, and Danny Franchise.” There was an announcer, three people in very fancy wizard robes walked in when the names were said. “Are there any mortals, otherwise known as non-casters. If there are, please stand up now.” Janus nudged my arm, I stood. She sent me a telepathic message, I didn’t hear it clearly but I nodded and sat down. Janus would tell me later.
The trial started, it was very confusing. I couldn’t keep up with what was going on, they were all just shouting now. “SILENCE!” Janus’s father spoke for the first time in the whole hour we had been there already. “We need to all calm ourselves and let the royals decide their fates.” I started to get goosebumps and shiver. The three walked out through a smaller door in the back of the room Brandon came over to us. “I’m sorry, it wasn’t my fault. It was my opposite.” His voices was deep like her fathers voice. He scared me, he was the person who shot my sister. “The person who you shot, was in a car. She was my sister.” He looked sad, nostalgic almost. “I told her to leave while she still could but she didn’t. It was her foolish mistake that got me in trouble!” I started to snarl angrily through his teeth by the end of this sentence. He looked like he wanted to fight me, I wasn’t going to risk that. I really wanted to leave, but then the three judges walked back into the room. Nobody spoke, a man came out behind them, he had one set of handcuffs, he walked over to her brothers friend, and he was immediately arrested. They didn’t arrest her brother, this is great! Her father walked back out and got us all into the car. Janus was still mad at me, why is she so mad at me!?
JanusWe were at my brothers trial and she had to come along as well, why father, why?! I didn’t know why, but I was grieving. My brother was going to be arrested and I was going to end up just like him, I was having a fight with my father. Julie thought I was mad at her. My father is insane and he doesn’t believe in me, he thinks that I’m just a normal old delinquent child. He doesn’t even love me, it sure doesn’t matter though. “Honey, get used to how these trials work. You’ll be here often, you’ll end up going to jail though. No taste of proper justice, but today is not about you. This terrible day was about your brother, he;s been doing bad things since mom died. It;s your fault mom died, you’re shadow opposite killed her, and she killed your friends sister. You don’t even deserve friends, that is how bad you will end up!” My father’s final words, before we saw Julie walking towards the doorway. She was limping, my father waved her over and invited her to come, why? The whole car ride over to the courtroom, I was thinking about what my father had said. I completely zoned out during the trial I would have spoken many times if I didn’t. My father is the devil, he’s the reason my opposite is so powerful! My opposite grows stronger the more I hate and the more I get angry, maybe I will be chosen as an evil caster.
If that happens, even my opposite will want to work with me to kill people and terrorize families. Julie is the only person who is supporting me from becoming an evil caster on my next birthday, two weeks away. What happens if I get chosen as a lone, I won’t have anybody to work with or to be with, I’ll be exiled… FOREVER! That would be the worst, I want to be light. My opposite is dark, she’s powerful though. I’ll be chosen as dark even if I don’t want to, like my brother was. My father was a dark, but worked towards being light for us to work better as a
