"Mom! Where are my fishnets?!" I screamed as I frantically searched under my bed. "In the wash," Mom called. I stopped searching. "My black ones?" I asked running to my mom in the laundry room. She nodded as she folded. "I need those!" "That's what you said yesterday." "No, they go perfectly with this outfit." Mom looked at my black dress. It had little white crosses on it. "What shoes are you wearing?" she asked. "My ankle boots with the three inch heel," I said impatiently. "Wear your purple ones," she said. "Mom, they are violet, not purple!" I am very specific about my colors. "Just wear them, okay?" I stomped my foot. I angrily walked to my room to look for my VIOLET fishnets. I put them on, and then my ankle boots. I put on my cross necklace. I applied some eyeliner, mascara, and black lipstick. I grabbed my backpack and walked outside. I didn't say goodbye to my mom. How dare she put my black fishnets in the wash! I was going to wear these tomorrow anyway. I got on the bus and sat next to my friend Jane. She is very pale, she almost looks like she has a disease or something. I got out my ipod and turned on some Ke$ha. I put it away as soon as we got to school. I walked with my best friend Jesus. Her mom is so obsessed with God, she named her daughter after his son. It's really messed up. We all just call her Jessie. As I got to my homeroom, I noticed this pale, attractive guy. He was wearing all black. He must be goth or emo. "Excuse me, but your sitting in my seat," I said as calmly as I could. "I don't see your name on it. Why don't you make me move?" Wow, a rebel. That's the guy I like. "Okay I will." I pushed him to the next seat over. "I'm Parker. Nice to meet you," he said with a wink. He looked, really happy, almost hungry. I guess he didn't eat breakfast or something. I waved. "I'm Fiona," I replied. We talked for a little, and then, all of a sudden we were planning a date tonight. And people say love is complicated.

I got ready for my date. We are meeting at the park for a picnic. I said bye to my mom. I hugged my little sister Carlene, who was watching Fred on youtube. I walked to the park. I saw Parker over there. I sat down on a blanket he had put down. I helped him get the food, warm apple pie. A cold wind flew by. I rubbed my arms. "Crap, it's a little chilly out," I said. Parker put his jacked around my arms. He stayed there for a few seconds. I think he might have been looking at my neck. That's weird. We ate and talked. I picked leaves off of trees and threw them playfully at him. We laughed, and after a while we laying down looking at the stars. I hugged him at ten. "I've got to go home. This was a great date. I'll see you at school tomorrow." I said walking away. Then he was right next to me. "You can't leave!" he said looking at me right in the eye. I kissed him on the cheek and walked home. I smiled. He's totally in love with me.

The next day, I felt totally alive. I got up early so I could spend extra time on impressing Parker. When I was ready, I saw an ad in the newspaper for a haunted house. It's supposed to be the scariest haunted house ever. You write down a fear or two, and the people like make that scene or whatever. It's all just junk. That stuff isn't even real, so who cares. When I got to school, I opened my locker to get my stuff. Parker came running to me. He knocked me over by mistake. "Sorry! But look at this!" he said shoving some ad in my face. It was the same ad for that stupid haunted house I saw this morning. "What about it?" I said standing up and brushing myself off. "Let's go to it! It's tomorrow night. You and me! I can get free admission, cause' I know a guy there who owes my a favor," he said grinning big. I looked at his teeth. It almost looked like he had fangs. "I guess, I'm not really into the whole haunted house thing," I said closing my locker door. He frowned. "Alright, I just thought it would be fun for us. I'll just get Georgia to go with me or something." My eyes widened. Georgia is this beautiful emo girl. She writes dark poetry, and peels the petals off of a rose everyday. "Uh, I changed my mind. I'll go with you tomorrow night," I said grabbing his arm. I don't want Georgia stealing him! I like Georgia and all, but every single boy in the school absolutely loves her. It pisses me off sometimes. He hugged me. Again, I think he was looking at my neck. What is with him? I saw him run down the hall to his first class, since we missed homeroom. He's so cute.

I met Jessie at Secret Salad that night for dinner. We always go to Secret Salad for dinner on Thursdays. It's our tradition. She drives, because I can just walk there. I found her sitting at a booth. I sat down. "Hey!" she said looking up from the menu. "Can I ask you a question about, you know, Vampires?" I asked quietly. Jessie is like, an expert on those things. She looked at me puzzled. She nodded then. "Why?" she asked taking a sip of her water. "Oh I didn't know what you wanted so I got you water too." I looked at my water in front of me. "Water's fine. Okay, so you know how I've been dating Parker?" "Yeah." "I think he might be a vampire." Jessie widened her eyes. "How?" she asked curiously. I told her how he keeps looking at my neck and it looks like he has fangs. "Holy crap," she said thinking hard. I nodded. She took out a big book called "Blood Sucking Demons". "You seriously brought that?" I asked, annoyed. She opened it, ignoring me. "It says, the easiest way to tell someone's a vampire, is if they keep looking at your neck," she said. "How many times has he looked at your neck?" I thought hard. "I think twice, and before on our first date, he told me 'You can't leave'. He also looked like he was hungry," I said feeling scared. "He must be really thirsty. Don't go in the haunted house with him tomorrow. Trust me." she said looking worried. I sat back. "I can't let him down, Jessie," I said reluctantly. "He's a damn vampire for God's sake! Don't be an idiot, Fiona," she said starting at me. A waitress came to our table and put salads in front of us. I slapped five bucks on the table. "I'll see you tomorrow," I said angrily. I took the long way home. Does Jessie really deserve what I did? I don't want to let Parker down, he might bite me. Maybe I can convince him to be a veggie vampire. That would never work, it's not Twilight. I crawled in bed hungry that night. I hoped for the best as I pulled the covers over my head.

"Hey, sorry for last night," I said to Jessie as she opened her locker. "Whatever," she said. "C'mon Jess, please don't be mad. I just got ticked off with the whole vampire thing," I said. "I just don't want you to be a vampire, FiFi," she said hugging me. That's the Jessie I know. Parker came over and hugged me, pushing Jessie away. "Hey! Don't push my friend away!" I said angrily. "Sorry, but I can't wait for tonight!" he said bouncing off the walls. Jessie made fangs with her fingers and pretended to bite me. I laughed. Inside, I'm to frightened to be having a good time right now. I just found out my boyfriend's a blood sucker! Sadly, this really is like Twilight. At least there's no werewolves. Thank the Lord. Later that day, I ate my dinner slowly, so I had a chance to miss the haunted house. "Come on, chop chop! You don't wanna be late for your date!" Mom said taking Carlene's plate. Carlene made kissing noises and battered her eyelashes. "You wish you were in a relationship," I said. Not with a vampire. I checked my phone. Nine twenty five. Five minutes until the haunted house opens. I sighed and took my plate tot the sink. I squeezed my sister so hard she had to yell "Uncle". I hugged my mom. I'm guessing this is the last time I'll see them. The last time I saw my dad, was six weeks ago, before he left for a business trip. I took a deep breath, and walked to Mellow Road, where the haunted house was. "You came!" Parker said hugging me tight. I smiled weakly. We got to the front of the line. I put down my fears on a little slip of paper, and walked in the house. "I'll meet you inside!" Parker called. I kept walking. There was mist, and things springing at me. Nothing really scary. Then, I found a door. It said, "Deepest Darkest Fears". I twisted the door knob and opened the door. Just darkness. Huh, I'm nut afraid of the dark. Then I felt sharp claws grab my leg, and pull me in.

I screamed, "AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!" They dropped me on an elevator, and it was speeding up to another level. My first fear, being trapped in an elevator. Man, these guys are good. It stopped with a jerk. I stepped out. I saw a scarecrow facing a window. He turned around. He had bandages all over. He was crying. I looked a out the window. People were being chopped up, and they were turning them into scarecrows! Suddenly, the injured scarecrow pushed me through the window. I screamed. My second fear, death by falling. As I was falling the lights went out. They turned back on. I fell into a big bowl.
