The Call

May 7th started like any other day would. Got out of bed, got myself woke up good, then sat down to check emails before getting to work. I had been trying to get that second book out for quite a while. It was a work in progress, that was taking longer than expected.
When I got to my email box I noticed a new message from Topnach a friend from Root Zoo, a sports web site. Inside he left his phone number asking for all his friends to call him. I had known him for about a year and, never had there been a message like that one. He usually just wrote me telling me what he wanted to tell me. I got the phone to give him the call, when I really thought of the strangeness of the whole thing. I dialed the number never the less.
"Hello?" His voice not like I had always thought it would be.
"Hey Topnach, this is Tiger." My southern drawl he probably didn't expect either.
"Tiger, yes I am glad you called me back. I have come into a large sum of money and, wanted to offer all of my friends a chance to get involved with making a movie."
"What kind of movie?" I wanted to make sure it wasn't a porno or something like that.
"Well you know me." I did know him, not really but as much as one can over the internet. Which is why I wanted to know it wasn't an X-rated movie.
"It's going to be a slasher film, you know horror like Jason, or Halloween." That sounded real good to me as it was the genre I wrote in.
"Who all is in?" I asked knowing I wasn't the first one he asked.
"There were several of you I sent the message to, but so far only Mooser, Derms and Cali Kat have responded besides you."
"I'm in Nach, It's the chance of a lifetime."

California Dreams

When I arrived in the LAX it wasn't anything like I expected. It was really crowded but, I managed to get outside to a cab. The driver asked me where I wanted to go, and upon looking at the directions I had written down I told him.
I ended up some thirty miles away from the airport to an office building on a busy street. Once inside I was met by this lady, I didn't know who she was or at least thought I didn't.
"I'm here to see Nacho. I'm Tiger."
"Hey there, Tiger I'm Green Eyes." Then I realized I was in the right place.
She walked me down a to a set of double doors where there were twenty or more people all standing around talking. From some photos posted on the sports site I noticed Mooser sitting at the wet bar. Then Nach came from a group of people to introduce himself.
"Come over here and let me introduce you to some of the people." I walked back over to the group with him.
"This is Cali Kat, Cubs girl, Wylde Kenne, Nikki, there's Moose at the bar, and Marcus is on his way out here. We're trying to get in touch with some of the others." I assumed the rest of the people weren't from the site. I noticed there were people smoking so I pulled a cigarette from my pack.
I went to the bar to get myself a cold beer, and introduce myself to the Moose man. I got the idea they didn't really expect me to be from the south or something. My accent was somewhat of surprise to them. After about an hour we all went to west Hollywood, to a house Nach had bought to shoot the movie in. He walked us through the huge three story house. It was very old, or at least made to look that way. There were dummy doors that went to nowhere. The house had been built for the purpose of making movies. Everyone was shocked by the beauty of the woodwork inside.

Getting it Done on Paper

There was signing of contracts by all of us involved, we sat inside the director's office. I was alarmed at the large amount Nach was willing to pay me for the services involved. I began thinking of potential ideas for the whole thing. As a writer it just happens that way. Soon after the paper work had finished we all sat around throwing ideas around at one another. For hours we sat there talking over the first five scenes. The ideas were coming together, Nach wanted a Motley Crue song in the opening credits. We decided to go with "Danger" it had the sound we were looking for. I thought the title of the song would go good with the type of movie. Mooser wanted there to be some mob activity in the movie, so we decided to try like hell to fit some mobsters into the character list. I wasn't sure if it was the way I talked or what, but Nach wanted there to be some crazy rednecks in the script. I had to agree knowing I could play that part better than anything else.
The number of beers I'd drank were beyond count. We had sat there for hours discussing the movie. Mooser continued to pour shots of whiskey and, I was becoming a little intoxicated.

When Things Got Strange

Marcus walked into the office, where I had passed out in a chair. As I woke Nach was passed out on the desk where his phone was vibrating on silent mode. Mooser had laid down on the couch.
"Nach, your phone is ringing." Marcus told him.
"Hello." He answered it quickly.
I heard his say "Kat is that you?"
"Alright we'll head up there" He said as he closed his phone.
"Kat and Nikki are locked inside the attic. We need to find them." Nach said.
Marcus and Nach went upstairs to find them. I must have passed back out in the chair or something, because I was jolted back awake to the sound of a loud thump of the wall echoing through the empty house. I jumped up noticing Moose hadn't moved an inch since they'd went upstairs. I bolted up the wooden staircase two steps at a time, the sound was coming from the third floor, so up another level of stairs I went becoming winded. The was Nach slamming the sheet rock with a sledgehammer.
"Nach!" I yelled loudly to get his attention. He was going to town on the wall, pieces of plaster board and studs from the walls were crashing with every blow.
"Tiger..Kat and Nikki are inside the walls." He said in a concerned voice.
"What is this some kind of joke? There in the attic." I responded.
"There is no attic in this house." He said back slow and calm.
"I'll go tell the others. I woke Mooser up on the couch, and called Green Eyes on her cell phone, she was with Cubs Girl down the street looking at Hollywood taking pictures. Kenne was outside in the car listening to the radio, he'd went down to a bar on the strip. When I told them that Kat was stuck inside the walls they didn't believe me, but then again I didn't believe it at first either. We all went upstairs and, began destroying the third floor. before long the walls were gone, but there was no sign of Kat and Nikki.
"Where in the hell are they?" Nach shouted.
"I don't know, lets go bust out the second floor." Moose said.
"There not on the second floor." Nach replied.
"There not on this floor that we know." Moose said.
Nach pulled out his cell phone calling Kat's phone, it just rang without her message kicking in. We all walked outside, the morning sun was coming up as we began discussing the game plan. Kenne went to the basement to find some tools to make the demolition easier. Within minutes his phone was calling Nach's phone.
"I'm stuck in the basement!" Kenne told him over the phone.
"Now Kenne is stuck inside the basement." Nach said as he hung up his phone.
We began looking for the the entrance to the basement. However it wasn't there. Nach called his phone back and he answered. He tried to explain what how he got in there but, it wasn't leading anywhere. Mooser walked back inside the house to get him a drink, as the Green Eyes pulled up with Cubs Girl. Again upon hearing it they didn't believe it. After several minutes Mooser never came back. We walked back in as the phone rang, it was Mooser.
"Nach I think I'm inside the couch. Help me out of here." Nach dropped the phone flipping the couch over and, ripping the mesh bottom off of it.
"I'm calling the police." Green Eyes said.
"Hold on Nach said we can find them." Nach said.
"Look there is no way Mooser could fit in that couch. There is no way the girls are in the walls upstairs, and Kenne is in a basement that's not even in existence." I replied.
"Well then what should we do?" Nach asked.
"I really think we need to get out of here." I suggested.
Then Marcus called the phone in Green Eyes hand, and nobody there knew her number.
"I found Kenne he said but now were both stuck down here." Green Eyes hung the phone up with an strange feeling about the whole thing.
"Look you girls go down to the police station, get out of here, and Tiger and I will try to find the others. Tell them quickly time might not be on our side." Nach instructed.

The Tragic Ending

The girls drove out of the hills down the curvy roads. Upon arriving at the police station the officers had problems understanding them. When the slowed down enough to get the story out, it was very hard to believe. Still the officer drove up there to the house. He found nobody there inside or out, he continued to walk around the area. Green Eyes and Cubs girl sat inside the car, as the cell phone began to ring. Green Eyes answered the phone.
"Green Eyes my love, this is Nach. I am inside the walls of the house." Green Eyes hung the phone up, not believing in was Nach. The officer walked back around to the front of the house. "There isn't anyone in that house. I believe your friends are playing a joke on you two." The cop said.
"No they wouldn't do that." Green Eyes said.
"Well in 48 hours you can file a missing persons report down at the station." He told her before he drove away.

The next day Derms and Keebs showed up to the house. They had trouble getting a plane out of Cleveland. There were cars everywhere but, no answer to their knocks on the front door. Then Derms phone began to ring in his pocket.

"Hello Derms this is Green Eyes and, we're all stuck inside the house."
