I was running, the cold wind battering hard against my face. The beast was gaining, his huge clawed paws pounding down onto the dry earth, throwing up leaves in his trail. The red moon beamed down upon us, a blood moon. My heart was in my mouth as I began to slow, realising I couldn't escape. The beast gained smashing me down to the ground. The wolf like creature let out a bloodcurdling roar before sinking its teeth into my neck. I screamed out, the pain searing throughout my entire body. I heard a smack as if something had hit the monster, letting go of my neck, he fled. My vision blurred and as I saw dark shapes coming closer and closer towards me, and warm arms lifting me high into the air...
A strange smell filled my nose, a smell almost like musky pine trees. I could hear voices all around me, catching snippets of conversations. " We couldn't prevent the transformation.." , " She'll become a danger to herself"."We should destroy her before she becomes a threat" I opened my eyes slowly , allowing them to adjust to the bright white light. Around me, there were gathered a strange group of men. They wore puzzled looks on there faces.
"You're Awake." I looked to where the voice came from, a tall man, a golden circlet upon his head. He must have been the leader of the strange men as when he spoke, all was quiet and the murmuring stopped. I groaned.
"You had a lucky escape there. That.. Creature was ready to kill."
I gulped. I could have been dead, These people, they saved me.
"That bite on your neck.." My hand immediatly flew to touch the bumpy skin along my neck, where the 'wolf' had tried to take a chunk out of me.
"Unfortunately, it has caused a transformation. You have become what we feared most of all. You are now, one of them."
My heart raced, looking deep into his eyes, almost daring him to say that one dreaded word.
"Werewolf"
It took a while for the truth to sink in. The men around me stood for some time. As if they were waiting for me to do something or say something. I didn't understand, a Werewolf bite should have been fatal, but yet, I was still here, and what was going to happen next. Would they kill me? I knew that the few people who knew about in Werewolves, were hostile and often killed them, taking there heads as a prize. I tried to sit up but I was pushed back down by a muscly man next to my bed.
"When a Werewolf transforms on Blood Moon, it doesn't possess the power to deliver a fatal bite, instead, if the bite is left long enough its prey will contract lycanthropy. This is a very rare occurrence, as many werewolves do not transform on a blood moon, only the elders, and usually the human is mauled to death before the transformation can take place. Yours was extremely violent. We had to keep you in the safe room to keep you from harming us or yourself. We couldn't feed you, it was too risky. You could have got out of control "
Suddenly I felt it. A burning sensation in my stomach. I could hear his heart beating, the blood pulsing through his body. All I wanted to do was to sink my teeth into his neck, to taste his blood and flesh in my mouth.

The man stood holding a tiny button, and suddenly his 'servants' around me became hostile.
