Chapter 1 Harsh Beginning

Mindy walked through the broken city, keeping her head down as each crumbled building passed her. She sobbed quietly as she walked to what used to be her house. The roof had caved in and had squashed her parent’s room and left the kitchen a huge disaster. When she got to the door all the memories came in like a flood. She cried even more.

“I have to make it right, before all this happened.” She stuttered.

She decided to brave up and go to her old room. She held back the tears as she walked to her room. In the hallway she heard something move in the house.

“Please God, don’t let this house kill me like it did my parents!” She pleaded.

But the house wasn’t the thing moving. There was something in her parent’s room moving around making noise. She slowly made her way there trying to make no noise at all. The closer she got, the louder it got. By the time she got the doorway, the sound was almost as loud as a fire engine.

“Hello?” she whispered

Then all the noise stopped. She froze.  Very slowly she peeked around the doorway. There was a giant crystal in the middle of the room. It was a dark blue but there was an image on top. Mindy checked to make sure she was alone. Then she cautiously approached it. She starred at the crystal and the gasped.

“Mom, Dad, can you hear me?” She asked franticly longing to see them again.

In the crystal it showed a clip of Mindy’s life, before the giant destruction. She touched the crystal and started to scream.

“AHHHHH HELP MEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee..” She screamed.

Mindy woke up in her bed. She looked around.

“Huhh? WHAT!!! My old room!” she said excitedly.

She looked up and saw the roof was still there.

“Am I finally home?” She wasn’t sure if she was dreaming again so she pinched herself real hard.

“OWWW!” she yelled. It left a big red mark. Someone or something was coming up the stairs. She was scared.

“Hello?” she whispered as she put all but her eyes under the sheets.

Chapter 2 What's On the Staircase?

Even though she swore she heard something come up nothing came in.

“I have to find something to defend myself, and QUICK!" she thought as she looked over her night-table.

She saw a glass of water, a bible, empty candy wrapper and a knife. She picked up the knife and looked at how sharp it was.

“Wow, I wish I had a knife like this. “she said still looking at the sharp, gleaming knife. Then, she saw something engraved in the handle. It reads: To restore life to how it was, touch the crystal and find the bus. Mindy was shocked that the knife had known that she had lost everything and that it knew about the crystal.

“So maybe someone else IS alive!” she laughed and was happy for a moment, until she heard a noise in the hallway again. For some strange reason she wasn't afraid at all anymore.

She decided to take out her Lacrosse helmet and put it on to battle whatever was outside her door, waiting. Then she strapped the helmet on a walked very slowly to the door. When she was halfway to the doorway, she could hear heavy breathing. She stopped. She took the knife in one hand and jumped at whatever was in the hallway. Mindy and the creature tumbled down the staircase and that is when Mindy saw what it was. I was a bloated Werewolf. It was all gray and fat and of course hairy. She took the knife back and jabbed it in the heart of the Werewolf

“HoWWWWWWWWWWWWWL!” it shrieked as it fell to the floor. Mindy had hit something hard when she stabbed the Werewolf. She looked in the hole where she had stabbed the Wolf. It was a dark blue object stuck in it inner chest. Mindy took the knife and split the Werewolf in two and was shocked.

“OH MY GOSH, THE CRYSTAL!” she said excitedly. She again looked around and made sure she was alone again and touched the beautify crystal.

“AHHHHHHHHHhhhhh” ……Passing. Time………………………………………………….

“How long has she been asleep Dad?”

“I don’t know, maybe we should take her to a hospital.”

“Why, is she hurt Daddy?”

“No, but she might be in a coma.”
