Innocence Broken by Laurie Salem (reading books for 7 year olds txt) 📕

Khloe crawls into my lap. “Mommy, can I talk to you?”
I put my book on the coffee table. “Sure honey. What’s up?”
She sighs first, as she always does. “I don’t want to have a baby.”
Her face is serious. I’m totally confused. And much more unprepared “Why would you say that?”
She motions for me to follow her to her room. Playing on her tv is her birthing video. And I am screaming like a wild woman. I turn off the tv and we stare at each other in awkward silence. Would it be too early for counseling?
