Chapter 1 encounter

It was just after midnight when, Nataile pushed open the door to the alley. The air picked up and swirled around her, throwing her long curls around.Even though today was Saturday and all her friends were out doing something, Nataile had to work. Not even today when others could, she can take off.She was part of a family were money had been hard to get lately and now she had to work just to hang on to the house they live in.On the outside, she was cool and quiet, kind of a rebel, but really, shes a nice girl with straight A's.As Nataile walked out onto the main road, she felt as if she was being watched. All around windows drew closed and stayed close, as if saying not here. She kept her head down and tried surpressing the feeling, but when she couldn't, she looked up slightly.Glancing around she sighed, turned around, skipped backwards and turned again before walking normally. She now knew who was watching her, but it wasn't much of a shock.Sitting high on a roof top, watching like an eagle, was a person from her past.A person she ran with, hang with.A person that if you knew him, you'd want to forget him just as much as she did. This person had no name, but had a record, a number, and a secret.Nataile kept her head down and shrugged toward him, but kept walking. He soon got the hint and followed her.Once again she'd fall for his trap, once more she'd be his to use.He had his hands in his pocket, moving quickly to follow behind. When Nataile stopped at the street light, he jumped down off the roof and landed next to her.She didn't look up to him at all, but instead looked straight ahead at the empty sidewalks.

"How much longer must you ignore me, Tallie ?" She flinched and glanced his way with regretful eyes.

"Never call me that, Zero. You know I hate that name" She said in a hushed tone.

"Yes I'm aware, but I don't like the fact you have to abandone me when I need you most." He said back but in a louder and more serious tone than before.

She fixed her eyes on the ring he wore on his left hand. She smiled and looked up leaning her back against the pole.

"Once again, I am to blame? Was it not you who stole my grandfather's ring as a compensation for something I never did?" She spoke using old lamic words.

"Never did you say? Rather blame you than to say it was all a dream that a blonde girl with shiny eyes stole my powers and sucked the blood ofa rebel til she had her fill." He repeated in the same lanuage she did and leaned down kissing the red stone on the ring.

"I sucking blood of a rebel? Who ever heard of such a thing. We may be decendents of the nightlinger but we know no filth." She repeated and sighed looking up."But it does not matter, the past is the past. Now why have the old crew been following me? I assume their your dogs?"

He looked in her direction and rose an eyebrow to her question."My dogs? I would never count those idiots as my dogs.My dogs are much more proper and can do 21 different trick as to their record of none impressing."

She stood straight and pulled her jacket closer. The night had rollen in and it was getting colder than what eithier of them could stand. She stepped forward and glanced back at him with watery eyes.

"Must you always hunt me? I do not want to be in this anymore. It's not my battle to fight" She said before looking down."But this one last time will be my time to pay respects to my clan.

She knelled down and held out her hand.Zero then walked over and placed his ring hand into hers. She then grabbed his ring finger and kissed the stone with closed eyes.

"You swear to protect your king and your brothers. You swear loyality to the Blooded Clodren?" The question alway asked and replied the same was put into the air.

"Yes for the time being.I swear."

Chapter 2 darkest deeds

It was ealier the next morning when Nataile woke. Her eyes drowsyly found her alarm clock before she slammed the beeping sounding off.Not even the sun had rose to see her awake, though the sky still held it's light glow.Slowly she sat up in bed, the pounding headache Zero gave her fading now. After her usual routine of showering, gettingdressed, and brushing her hair, Nat walked out into the hallway and hurried down the stairs.Wearing her favorite purple shirt, black skinny jeans, and her favorite pair of purple and black converse. She ran past the dinnertable and grabbed her black backpack and ran out the backdoor. She kept running until she scalled the fence that surrounded her house.Once on the other side, she looked back at the house and the to the woods that blocked her way.She took in a few more puffs of air before dashing off to the woods. She pulled on the hood to her black hellokitty jacket. And kept her eyes on the ground, careful not to step on any loose branches. Only taking short, un easy breaks, Natile continued moving along the stony path, Zero had pointed out to her. She clenched the note he had slipped into her pocket tightly, and glanced back at the house.
