Looking back, there’s one kiss I remember the best.

I was on a date with a boy named Nicholas. He was really sweet, but he wasn’t my type. I think he could tell there wasn’t going to be a second date.
As I was walking back to Nicholas’s car with him, I felt a hand grab my arm. I was tugged under a weeping willow tree. The clouds were covering the moon, so I couldn’t see who was holding my wrist.
But the darkness didn’t stop the mysterious boy from pulling me to him and kissing me full on the mouth. When I opened my eyes, he was gone. It was the best kiss I had ever had, and I didn’t even know who I had shared it with.
I returned to the sidewalk, where Nicholas was, standing still and looking confused. He saw me, and his frown lessened. “Where were you, Aimee? One second you were by my side, and the next second you were gone.”
“Oh,” I answered, “Sorry to frighten you, Nicholas. I don’t know what came over me.”
