Prologue.
My body, ice cold and wet with something I couldn't quite identify, would not function. My legs, arms, and possibly my brain had completely shut down. With no warning a shiver ran up and down my spine. Even a shiver made the pain unbearable. I was slowly coming to, when I found nurses and doctors standing around me.
After a few minutes of the nurses frantically running and attaching and detaching wires to my cold defenseless body, I realized I was in the hospital not far from the Performing Arts Theater of my home town, Casona ,Ohio. How I got there, I did not know. The last thing I remembered was lying hopelessly in the streets with my arm throbbing and my heart pounding. With my life quickly flashing before my eyes, I knew that I would soon draw my last breath and my short but not appealing series of breaths would all go away. Luckily, I was alive. I was now functioning and I was okay.
I tried to ask the doctor, who was possibly the most adorable man I had laid eyes on and seemed quite familiar, what had exactly happened, because I could not seem to scan my mind and find that file. He told me that I didn’t need to talk and to just relax. I soon realized I could not remember anything about the accident! My mind was blank, with no content of what happened that night.
