'...so fifty divided by two must be twenty five.' Mr Knightly prattled about simple maths solutions so we wouldn't forget... how rediculous.
We all took notes - well some of us did. I did, of course. I'd finished my notes before Mr Knightly even explained the whole thing, so I stared at the painting which was next to my desk of a girl wearing a black silk dress. The girl semmed to stare right at me. It was carrying a red rose.

At the end of school, I walked home. Jamie kissed me before I left - in which I felt very good about. When I was halfway home, in the forest, I heard someone calling my name!
'Spirit... Spirit... Spirit...'
It was a very slow, deep call, but somehow I got attracted and followed the call. It was like I was in a trance - my legs were like a peice of metal to a magnet.
'Spirit... Spirit... Spirit...'
I stopped at a bush. Cautiously, I stepped closer, but then an arm came out and dragged me into the bush... and I blacked out.

I woke up to see the girl from the school painting staring at me. She had long red hair, curled at the ends. Her soft, green eyes were like a green ocean - and she had a rose in a jar next to me.
'Hello... Spirit...' her soft voice said.
'Where am I?'
'Welcome to the world of the lost souls...'
'What is a lost soul?'
'A spirit who wanders the earth with an enchanted rose - a rose with a power to attract, or turn into another lost soul.' she said, opening her jar and taking out her rose.
'I am the Enchantress of the lost souls, the one who can turn others into lost souls.'
'So - you're going to turn me into a lost soul?!'
'Yes.' the Enchantress sighed. She placed her rose under my neck. I felt strange for a moment - like I was under a spell. My body tingled, my brain flashed. I blacked out.

When I woke up, my long, black hair was loose, I was wearing a red and black dress - and I was holding a rose. I wasn't human anymore... I was a lost soul.
