What's Done is Done

Mark's View Point

I looked at Hanna and wished she could see what I had always seen in him. I loved her but I didn't know then it would take a year to make her realize it. I hate that jerk and what he did to her. He meant to hurt her because she wasn't what he wanted her to be but turns out all he did was 1) Make her stronger even though she is scared now and 2) Give her even more of reason to become what she was always meant to be.

Hanna's View Point

I looked up to see him looking at me. I knew him. He was the football quarter back, the one every person wanted to be. But their was something in his eyes when I met his gaze. I wouldn't know what it was until a year later when he really told me how he felt, but at that moment all that had happened to me seemed to be right. But I guess you want to know what I went through to get to this point huh...

The Question

Angel turned to me "so you glad to be out for Christmas or what NayNay?"
"Really Ange you had to ask me that?" I countered.
"Uh yeah I did because it is extremely neccassary."
"Why is it so neccassary Angel?"
"Because we have officially made it through the first half of our sophomore year. And because their is some cute guy following us who I'm distracting you from seeing Hanna. Isn't that obvious?"

Before I could answer I heard a voice call from behind me "Hanna, wait just a second please I need to talk to you." I reconized that voice, no it wasn't the voice of my best guy friend Mark, but a different voice, the one I would later cringe from when I thought of it. It was Nick, the closest thing to a "rebel" that CASM had.
"Sure what's up" I asked him while shooting a look at Angel that asked her to go wait for me in the car.
"I was wondering if you're free either tonight or tomorrow night, and if so if we could do something this weekend. You know hang our or something?"
"Well actually Angel, her boyfriend Troy and I where all going ot the mall tonight and I have to babysit tomorrow but your more than welcome to come with us tonight if you."
"No that's okay I don't want to."
I cut Nick off saying "You're not intruding, it would actually be really nice if you would because I hate being a third wheel and all but they asked me to go and I can't say no to Angel. So you really should come with us Nick."
He looked startled for a second and then answered "Sure, I'll go, anything to save you from third wheellness."
"Thanks, we are going around six, you want to meet us their or what?"
"Yeah I'll meet you guys their if that's okay."
"Sounds perfect see you at the food court entrance around six, bye Nick"
"Bye Hanna"

I turned and walked away, headed to my car and a smile split my face as I thought about what I would to the mall tonight. I knew it couldn't be anything to fancy or he would know how hard I was trying. I just hoped that everything would turn out like I wanted it.

. . .

I looked at Angel and asked her how this was. I had on a fitted three quarter black shirt with a red tanktop with a few rhinestones on underneath. My hair shoulder lenght brown, highlighted hair hung down with a head band to keep most of the bangs out of my face. My jeans where a women's brand called St. John's Bay that I loved and it was a light to medium wash which I thought looked good with my shirt. Black mid-calf length boots completed the look or I thought it did anyway.
"You look great Hanna, simple, but kind of dressed up casual and not using accessories definatley gives it the right touch, Nick will like I bet and I'll have to run Troy off of you with a stick if you don't watch out."
" Thanks Angel I really appriciate it sweetheart"
"Not a problem NayNay" she answered back with a smile on her face at my old nickname she had given me as a kids when she couldn't say Hanna.

I took one last look at myself in the mirror. Such an extreme difference from just a year and a half age when I had wieghed 180 pounds.
