Chapter 3
Symphony’s P.O.V.

“When we got to the fancy restaurant (one I was sure my parents could never afforded, even a glass of water) I almost screamed. Almost.
We got to the fancy check in counter with a fancy book and a fancy looking clerk.
I know I say fancy a lot. But that’s the only word I can use to describe it.
“Taylor’s table for 6.” my dad said impatiently.
“Ah, yes. You must be Mr. Jacobs. Let me show you to your table.” The man was in his mid 20 and he was cute. Not as gorgeous as Landon was in that picture but he was cute. He had blonde curly hair and green eyes. He saw me looking at him so I smiled politely and followed my parents to our table.
There were three people at the table already. They all stood.
There was a couple (who I assumed was my in-laws to be) who looked in their early 40s. Landon’s mom was definitely a year or two younger than his father.
She was adorable and looked very elegant and beautiful that I felt like I looked like a bag of poop.
His dad was tall and lean. He was somewhat handsome. Old but handsome, he kept his looks. His whole face was an older version of Landon except the eyes, which he got from his mother.
I was glad that his father was able to look handsome and his mother looked so beautiful. That meant he would be the same when we get older.
I could see that our kids would be to.
I mean, yeah my fathers hideous (that’s probably just how I see it after all he’s done to me) but my mother was beautiful and hasn’t aged in the face since I was 11.
Mr. Jacobs searched my eyes and smiled.
“Please take a seat.” He said in a smooth velvety voice. I wonder how Landon’s voice sounded….
As I went to sit a young male pulled out a chair for me. It was the same man who brought us over to the table.
He for some reason shook everyone’s hand. I soon figured out why when he got to me.
Shaking my hand with his opposite hand (rather than the one he used to shake the others hand) he passed me a small slip of paper.
I shook my head and laughed under my breath. Stupid boys. They always hit on me no matter how old they were. That creeps me out, and I have my father to blame for that.
“Hello my name is Adam and I will be your server. How are you tonight?” He said specifically to me.
Everyone murmured their usual “goods” and “fines”. Except my father.
My father had to go off saying, “We are celebrating! My girl Symphony here and their fine son Landon are getting married!”
Adam looked at me with huge eyes that said “sorry”.
I turned away, sure that I would blush. I didn’t blush horribly red, jut a slight pink.
My mistake was made there.
Instead of looking in the direction of my mom I did exactly what I was trying to avoid. I looked straight into his

eyes.
He smiled slightly with one brow raised.
“Oh well--um--oh! Congratulations. Well anyway, what would you guys like to drink?”
I looked back towards him to order. “I’ll have a lemon-aid, please. “ I said after everyone but Landon ordered.
“And I’ll have a glass of Root Beer, please.” Said a sexy, melting voice. I looked at Landon, with surprise he was looking at me too. His voice was smoother than his fathers and it was like melting velvet.
“Landon!” His mom said with a gasp.
“Sorry Ma, I just want something different.” His gaze never once left mine at me but he somehow smiled at her. She nodded.
“Er, I don’t think we have that.” Said Adam.
“Then have someone go out and get it.” Said Mr. Taylor. “I’ll pay whoever does $300. I don’t care if its you or not-- just get it. Within 10 minutes. Now.”
“Ye-Yes Sir.” Adam said in a shaky voice and walked off.
“Dad. What did I tell you about bossing people around?” Landon said sternly. On his liquid voice it still came out hot, even though it was meant to be cold.
“It’s not nice and I should up the price more.”
I couldn’t help but giggle. But my dad gripped my fingers under the table and bent them.
It hurt like hell but if I made a sound or said something I know they would be broken by the time I got the first word out my mouth.
“Boys.” Mrs. Taylor said icily.
They cleared their thoughts, “Yes ma’am.” they said at the same time and saluted her.
“Oh, you to stop it!” She laughed.
I wish this was how my family was.
It would be if it were Krystian in my seat instead, all except the money part.
“So Symphony,” Mrs. Taylor chimed into my thoughts, “Tell us about yourself.”
My dad slightly let up on my fingers.
“Well I am 16. I go to school at Mount. Fink High School. I just finished my Junior year. I am a straight A student. And I get in a little fun reading in now and then.”
“What do you want to be later on in life?” Landon injected.
I looked at him. “A writer. I have always loved it. It sooths me when I’m feeling down and out. I don’t know, I haven’t really decided yet.” I Finished with a sigh.
“Oh, if you want to be a writer that’s wonderful!” Landon smiled. “I have always loved it myself. Do you know what I do Symphony?” I shook my head. “I write movie screen plays. Have you ever seen Pirates of the Caribbean

?”
“Yes. That’s one of my favorite movies! Did you write that?”
He laughed, “No. I wish. I just wanted to see how you would react. But I wrote the movie His Betrothed Princess

.”
I gasped. “No way! I Love that movie!” My fingers got bent again.
He laughed. “I’m glad to hear that. Its my favorite of all my movies.”
“How many have you wrote?” I said threw the pain.
“I wrote that, Lifeline L.A.

, Raynes First Day of Summer

, um, Love at First Bite

, and Freaky Friday 2

.”
I smiled at him. “I love all of them! Well except Lifeline L.A. No offence but that’s too much action for me.”
“Thanks.” He laughed “Oh. Do you want to help me out with my latest movie. it’s a comedy/ romance and I’m not good at romance.”
“You are great with romance! You wrote His Betrothed Princess

!”
He laughed again. “She helped me. “ He nodded towards his mom. “Please… It will help you get out there. If you help me, I help you.”
“Fine.” I sighed and then Adam came with the drinks.
