After a few rings Jayda picks up, “yes penny?” “I wanna talk to you” “Aren't we doing that right now?” This makes Penelope annoyed a little but it's important they talk about this so she says, “In person, can you meet me at the park?” There was a long pause then Jayda sighed and said, “Sure.” “Alright see you in a bit” Penelope hangs up the phone and puts on a jacket and sweatpants.

When Penelope gets to the park she sees Jayda sitting at a bench in front of the swing sets and she gets inexplicably happy. She starts to walk faster to Jayda and when she gets to her she sits beside her and Jayda looks over at her and says, “I like you, I want to date you and I know you feel the same. Be honest with yourself. you and Jundor’s relationship has been falling apart for a while now and i’m offering you a way out and it's not like it’s a bad option because you want this just as much as i do. Do what YOU want, not your mother.” She sighs sadly and looks down at the ground. Penelope turns towards Jayda on the bench and says, “That’s what i wanted to talk you about. I really do want to be with you. You make me a better person in so many ways and I want to be with you. me and Jundor aren’t working out so, I’ll break up with him, I love him and it's going to be hard because of the love I have for him but i’ll do it, and we can date because I think that’s what’s best for me.” Jayda was still looking at the ground and Penelope nudged her and Jayda looked up, “I don't believe you. I want to but I can’t believe you.” Jayda looks back down at the ground and penelope lifts her face back up and kisses her. Jayda kisses her back and Penelope moves closer to her. Jayda wraps her arms around Penelope's waist and Penelope wraps her arms around jayda’s neck. Jayda pulls away and looks at penelope, “when are you going to break up with him?” "later on today” Jayda could hear the uncertainty in her voice. She unwrapped her arms from Penelope's waist and got serious, “If you don’t do it, I will.” Penelope unwrapped her arms from Jayda’s neck and got a little angry then said, “ I don’t need your help all the time jayda.” “Fine, I won’t help you.” Penelope felt calm again but then, “ If you don’t tell him by tomorrow, i will.” Penelope stood up angrily, “ Are you fucking serious right now? It seems like you’re trying to make me choose sides and it's pissing me off. He has been with me through so much” Jayda stands up and says, “So have I, probably even longer than he has am i right? And I’m glad you feel that way because I am. I want you to choose sides and I want you to choose mine. If need be, I will show you how he couldn’t give two shits about you if you want me to.” Penelope scoffs and says, “What the hell does that mean?” Jayda looks at Penelope, “Don’t tell him by tomorrow and you'll see.” Penelope rolls her eyes and turns around and walks away. Jayda yells, “I still love you!” Penelope keeps walkin but sticks up her middle finger.    

Chapter 4

   

When penelope got home she called Jundor but it went to voicemail and so she left one, “ Hey Jundor i really need to talk to you. I don’t think you’re gonna be happy about it but it needs to be said, call me back. Bye.” She hung up the phone and took a shower then went to bed.

Penelope woke up and checked her phone just to see no missed calls from Jundor, she got out her bed and changed in to some clothes and made her way to his house. After a 15 minute walk she got to his house and rung the doorbell. His mom came to the door and Penelope smiled and said, “Hey, is Jundor here?” She smiles but has a confused look on her face, “ he is. I thought you were here already.” “No, i actually just woke up a few minutes ago, why do you think that?” She looks up the stairs then back at penelope and says, “Some girl came earlier and they’ve been up there for a few hours now, the song he’s been playing the whole time made me think it was you up there.” penelope was pissed but she couldn’t let his mom know that,” if you want me to, i can figure out who it is for you?” She opens the door wider and lets Penelope in then says, “Aw, thank you.” Penelope walks past her and smiles then walks up the stairs. When she gets to the hallway she could hear the music and now understood what his mom meant. She turned the doorknob and it was unlocked and she opened the door and walked in. When she could make out was happening she saw Jayda open her eyes and gasp and push jundor off of her. Penelope wiped tears out of her eyes and turned around and walked out, slamming the door, causing things to fall off the walls of his room. Penelope started to sob when she got out the house. She was about to cross the seat when Jundor came out and grabbed her arm, “ Penny, Penny come here” penelope snatched her arm away and looked at him, her eyes filled with tears, “Don’t penny me! I have NOTHING to say to you.” “I didn’t mean for it to happen, she showed up out of nowhere, I didn’t even know she had my address.” “I don’t give a fuck about anything you have to say. You said you loved me and clearly that was a lie.” “Penny, she told me.” Told you WHAT?” “That you and her are going to be a thing, and that you’re technically dating. So, you cheated first.” Penelope bit her bottom lip and punched him in his nose, he groaned and backed up. Penelope walked closer to him and yelled, “You dumb fuck, I was coming to tell you. I tried calling you yesterday but you didn't pick up your fucking phone, how's that my fucking fault!!?” He goraned holding his nose and looked up at Penelope angrily, "It won’t happen, I know you don’t like girls, I know you’re just confused, we can let this go, can’t we?” Penelope bit her lip again and punched him again, this time making blood come out of his nose, then she said, “Fuck you. I’m not confused about anything, I like girls. You can have that girl in there though, i don’t want her. You and her can both go to hell.” Penelope walks across the street ignoring jundor calling after her.

 When Penelope got home she laid on her back on her bed looking at the ceiling. She grabbed her phone, which was vibrating beside her and saw that she had a call from Jayda. She rolled her eyes and pressed the decline button. A few seconds past and she called again, Penelope pressed decline again. Jayda called again so she answered the phone, “ I have nothing to say to you.” “I am so sorry Penny, it wasn’t meant to go that far. I went over there to tell him about us and then he kept flirting with me and, i just gave in.” “I told you I had it in the first place. This could have all been avoided if you would have listened to me. You are a liar and I don’t want to talk to you” She took the phone off her ear and hung up. She looked up at the ceiling and started crying. Her mom knocked on her door and she sat up and wiped her tears then said, “yeah?” “I’m coming in” Penelope looked down at her bed sheets as she heard her mom enter the room and sit down in front of her, she could feel her mom staring at her but she knew if she looked at her, she would cry. “What’s wrong Penny?” Penelope sniffled and looked at her and just like she suspected, she started to cry, “Nothing, it’s stupid, I’m stupid and I’m sorry you heard me crying but I’m fine.” “You are not stupid, tell me what happened, you never cry.” That you know of Is what she wanted to say, “Jundor… Cheated on me, I caught him.” “Aww baby, i’m so sorry, did you know who it was?” “It was jayda” “Your best friend jayda, that jayda?” Penelope nods her head, not able to say it. Penelope's mom sighs and rubs her shoulder,  “I know it hurts, that was one of your closest friends.” Penelope takes a deep breath and says, “She wasn’t just a friend, I loved her and I wanted to be with her, we were going to be together but then this happened.” Her mom was silent and Penelope looked back down. There was a silence and since her mom wasn't going to break it, she had to, “I know that's not what you want and you're probably glad it didn’t work, lesson learned.” “Penelope, I never had a problem with you liking girls, it’s just my job as a parent to teach you my religion and my beliefs. I’m going to love you regardless and if you are happy I have no place to object to that, understand that.” Penelope looks up at her mom and smiles, “Thanks. But, you don’t have to worry about that now.” “I wouldn’t forgive her for doing that, but you’re not me. If you want it get it. I’m not saying forgive her but tell her how you feel like really feel, good and bad. See if it can be fixed. Take yourself back to before it wasn’t bad and ask yourself, do you want that again and if you do, fight to get it back like that. If it was with a boy I would say the same thing. But you
