He sobbed again and wrapped his arms around her neck. his hair tickled her nose but she didn't care. She hugged and squeezed him closer, rubbing his crown of hair until he calmed down.

"I'm not leaving. I don't plan to leave this world until I'm well and ready. Plus, I could never leave someone as adorable as you, now could I?" She asked softly, tapping his nose as he smiled sheepishly.

"There we go, now you should get some sleep." He slid off her lap and looked at her, his eyes filled with worry instead of tears.

"It's going to get worse, isn't it? They won't leave us alone, will they?" She smiled sadly and shook her head.

"Sorry honeybun, but no. Things won't get easier, but don't you focus on that. Just keep swimming." She said and placed a loud kiss on his forehead. He laughed and rubbed the kiss off, shaking his head and walking away.

"You're a nutcase, mom." She stilled slightly at the word, then beamed.

"I'm rubber and your glue, whatever you say bounces off of me and sticks onto you. Son." He laughed and left the room, smiling.
